The professors are amazing in the teaching program because of their wealth of experience. As with most programs, there is a lot of teaching theory that is not immediately pertinent to the real-world classroom. I knew my stuff for the praxis after this program and I had a lot of resources to use in the classroom.

The pros of my graduate program is that all the professors within the department are knowledgeable and helpful to all students. There are no cons that I have about my graduate program.

The Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Salem College is 1 out of many that is helpful to me gaining an extraordinary experience. The small campus atmosphere is beneficial to me because I can focus, but also allows me to be known by name and receive one on one guidance. Salem is a wonderful institution that reminds me of my Alma Mater, Bennett College, in more ways than one especially because it is an all women's institution that motivates women like me to be a useful asset to society.

I received both my graduate and undergraduate degrees from Salem College, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of education I received! The information was rigorous and useful in the work world, and it made me a better teacher in a more competitive, 21st Century world. The professors were always helpful and highly accessibly any time they were needed, and with small class sizes, I was on a first-mane basis with all of them. The private, women's college setting created a more intense and supportive learning experience.

The Online Masters in School Counseling program through Salem College is a wonderful program for working professionals/ educators that are looking to transition into the counseling field. At this point in my program, the only "con" I can comment on is a personal issue with not having a computer with updated software. The 'Pros" of this program are that it is cost effective, flexible for teachers looking to transition and the staff is accessible to assist you on several levels.
