"I believe that St. John's University had a very competitive graduate program. They accept the best of the best which is good. The teachers are experienced and professional and know what they are talking about."

"Tell us about your college experience. It was and it wasn't a great choice. It allowed me to learn independence, but I probably could have got a better education from a cheaper school.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?Yes, it is broad enough to encompass a rangeof careers that allowed me wiggle room in finding a job. What advice can you offer other students?Enjoy college to the fullest, but have a plan for your life and career before graduation comes because the real world is no joke."

"Overall, I have had a wonderful experience at St John's University as a Masters of Science in Medicinal Chemistry student. My problem is with the lack of financial aid. No grants or scholarships are offered to the M.S. grad student and mass amount of loans are then taken out. It has become very difficult to balance work and school because you have to work in order to pay for your basic necessities such as food and shelter and school takes much of time."

"I am attending St. John's University Rome Campus. The pros are definitely the opportunity to Travel around the world and education yourself on world history. The courses I am currently taking are enriching and educating. The only con is that it is a fast pace program, which doesn't permit you to have much time to work if you are a full time student. Overall, I would recommend St. John's University MA program in International Relations."

"Very experienced and intelligent professors that give practical, challenging work. Great location and easy access to Manhattan. Slightly expensive, but it's a private school and New York is associated with high living costs."

"Being one of only 16 schools in the world that offers programs in Insurance has allowed St. John's to be competitive world wide. The great TriBeCa location gives you access to great companies who trust the graduates who come out of this school. Getting a degree here, in this specialized major, means I am more prepared when I leave the confines of college and enter the real world over a more generalized degree. The continually difficult classes teach us more and more while preparing us on both an actual and theoretical level for the harsh world of insurance."

"The workload is intensive. It is very difficult to maintain a job and keep up with classwork. Three of the four semester of school counseling graduate work consist of on-site field work. You will be required to work 100/300 semester hours in a school setting with direct contact hours with students. This is in addition to night classes."

"The pros revolve heavily around the location of the university. It is located in Queens, New York and is very accessible to Manhattan, providing it with enormous opportunities for internships and greater exposure to basically any field of study. Additionally, the university has many study abroad programs for a major like Political Science, which enables the students to study in cities like Rome, Paris, and Seville (Spain). The primary con is the competition that St. John's has to face in the New York area. NYU and Columbia are nearby, as are other top schools that make being a graduate of St. John's not as prominent as it would potentially be if it weren't for the competition."

"The faculty has been extremely helpful since when I first applied to the program. Whenever I have had a question or needed help with something they were quick to answer and be of assistance. I know that while I work towards my Masters degree, the faculty staff will guide me to the path that I want to choose in life. The structure and layout of the campus and network has seemed easy to understand as well. The only real con in my opinion would be the surrounding area. If you were someone not from NY and you went a little too far from campus, you end up in a not so pleasant neighborhood."

"Overall, I'm very pleased with my graduate program at St. John's University. The courses I took covered material relevant to my career choice at what I thought was an okay price point. St. John's loses points on their financial aid packages, where in essence I felt like I was handed the bill and left to figure it out on my own. Initially it was overwhelming - but I came up with a solution that enabled me to continue my studies. I liked the university for my undergrad studies, and thought that it would be a great place to continue relationships for my graduate work."
