"Temple University is a very diverse school with faculty who truly care and are invested in the success of their students. This is Temple's biggest pro and provides students with a network of support for their entire educational journey. Along the same lines, within such a large student body, sometimes the individual student becomes lost as there is not as much one-on-one attention or interaction possible."

"Temple University offers a very diverse educational experience with professors that are passionate about teaching, and the majority of whom maintain full-time jobs in their respective fields in addition to teaching. Temple offers an exceptional value for their education, offering an affordable, quality education. I love attending Temple University."

"Temple, in the heart of Philly, is a service oriented school with emphasis on hands on application. Early on, we learn how to examine patients alongside the academics of medicine. The faculty invest themselves in accommodating students, and the hospital's proximity to the school makes immediate application of the curriculum a breeze. The class has a more "cooperative" atmosphere with sharing of resources; as a result though, the class lacks a hint of competition. The school's location in a poverty stricken North Philly raises some eyebrows despite excellent campus safety."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Temple. It is a diverse and humble school that really caters to everyone. While some of its institutions, such as the financial aid office, were not as efficient as they could be, Temple always made me feel at home. I had excellent professors and learned an excellent mix of "book knowledge" and "street knowledge". I loved the honors psychology program and the general university honors programs. They provided a small-school feeling with all the benefits of the big university. I do wish, however, that there were more counselling options and experiences in the psychology program, as opposed to research experiences. The research psychology aspect at Temple is very well developed, but it would be nice to offer jobs/internships/senior projects more catered to those interested in clinical psychology."

"Temple is a very unique and diverse school. You will meet every type of person from every type of background, but that's what makes it so unique. All the different nationalities and backgrounds blend together to become one family. Temple offers limitless opportunities to get involved within the university and in the community, it is just up to you to take initiative. They will guide you and help you grow, but you must want to do so. Located in the heart of Philadelphia, the community and surrounding area is involved in every aspect of this university. Plus, you will never be bored. As for the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, it is top notch. It provides you hands on experiences, with challenging curriculum. The professors become mentors and some even become family. Having already graduated, I understand the value of this education I have. I feel well prepared to do a good job in my career with the position I am in. My school was able to help me gain internships and connections within the industry, which eventually led to my job with Aramark. I am proud to be a Temple Owl, and I think you will be too."

"When first entering Temple, I was beyond excited, I was in a new place starting a new chapter in my life and doing it independently, literally. My whole family was either back on the west coast (where I am from) or still in Nigeria. Temple was enticing, intriguing, cool. As freshman year went on I made friends, frenemies and sadly enemies but such is life. I was still excited to live here, not so much to live in the dorm and be forced to have a meal plan, where the closest dining hall was slightly atrocious, but I made do. Towards the end of freshman year I found myself disliking everything, maybe because I was homesick but highly unlikely, the area we live in is definitely not ideal but there are safe places and temple does try to make it safer. Besides that I found the irritation of the outside factors, environment and some local people, making me dislike everything about Temple, the classes, the people and especially the food. Over summer break I didn't want to go back, I did a semester abroad at Temple Japan, a super plus about Temple the different campuses around the world and the partnerships with other study abroad programs, and when I came back I had a new outlook towards Temple. I am slightly more involved on campus, I live off-campus, grocery shop, and made my schedule tailored to my needs. Temple, like much other schools the financial aid office is a laugh short of a joke, and dealing with them freshman year was laughable. I was kept on hold over the phone, waited over 1 hour in office when there were many students and maybe 4 windows out of 10 or more open. Temple overall is an amazing school with amazing people, and much like other amazing schools there are always parts that are everything but amazing. With the new renovations and look coming to Temple I would definitely recommend people to come, great atmosphere, some great people, great classes and professors and definitely a worthwhile degree. It took me a while but I came to truly love Temple, as a whole and I would change one thing!"

"Disclaimer: This review is for the Podiatric program, but that was not offered as an option, nor was "other" button. Pros: Temple has one of the busiest clinics, if not *the* biggest clinic out of all the podiatry schools. This affords the student an opportunity for hands on work starting 3rd year. The curriculum is quite robust and many classes are shared with the MD students. However, we get an extra semester of anatomy with a special focus on the lower extremity. Out of all the podiatry schools, Temple has the most recognizable name, which was a selling point for me. Add to that a vibrant city scene and relatively affordable conditions, and you get an attractive package. Cons: The school is located away from main campus and the new medical sciences building. However, it's located in Chinatown, so if you like ethnic foods this might not be a disadvantage. Temple's tuition is slightly higher than other schools."

"The expenses of the program and the lack of financial is something less than desired. However, the quality of the program and the faculty more than make the program my top choice of an Art History graduate degree."

"The pros of attending Temple University for my graduate program are professors and faculty who have tremendous field experience and passion for developing the next generation of physical therapy professionals. The clinical rotations we complete are in valuable because of the hands on experience we receive before graduating. I also love the diversity of people at Temple. I have become close with my classmates. The cons of my graduate program are the cost and the location."

"Overall the school is as advertised. It offers good academic opportunity at a reasonable price compared to other local universities. The program I'm in requires a lot of work but that is expected in a graduate level engineering program. The major downfall is the location. The campus is wonderful but the surrounding area is horrible. Security does it's best but the area is not safe during the evening."

"Temple University's Community and Regional Planning graduate program gives students the opportunity to learn how to plan sustainable communities. Elective courses give students the unique chance to study more specialized areas of sustainability, including topics in ecology and transportation."

"As a future podiatrist, I hope to improve people s quality of life by improving diabetes, bunions, and reduction the negative effects of multiple medical diagnoses that can effect the lower extremities. some negative aspects to the program are the high costs of tuition and length of the academic program."

  • Degree: Law
"The biggest pro of Temple Law is the affordability of the program for PA residents. Other pros include the diversity of the campus and its accessibility to public transportation. Big cons of the school are interconnected: campus safety and the school's surrounding area are causes for concern. The school is located in a rather rough part of Philadelphia and safety of students cannot be guaranteed in surrounding areas."

"The graduate program is a great source of creating connections and networking. Also the podiatry program at Temple offers great clinical exposure. The professors are very good at what their do, and there are many other helpful sources around school. The atmosphere is very encouraging and the students are some of the best in the country. The podiatry buildings are a little isolated from the rest of the school and living in Philadelphia is a little expensive. The school needs to be a little updated with technology but other than that everything else is fine."

"Temple Law is a great value for the quality of education. It is by far one of the cheapest law schools on the east coast, and it provides a quality education with an impressive staff for a relatively low cost. Financial aid is also very helpful and willing to work with students to make college affordable. In terms of social life, most students at Temple Law are from Philly/the suburbs and already have an established life outside of law school. For the relatively few number of non-Philly students, this can be a challenge to making friends. The school does offer numerous social outlets on the weekends sponsored by various student organizations. The curriculum is challenging, but the faculty is more than willing to help its students grasp difficult concepts. Law school is a challenge in itself, but the faculty support makes it easier to get through. Overall, a great school for its value."
