"The program was very easy to get into and I currently know and have known many students who graduated from the program who were unqualified to say the least. I feel some of the professors I have encountered care more about churning out research than being an effective educator, and the quality of my education has suffered for it. Also, I have had a few classes "taught" by professors who readily admitted they have no experience in the subject matter. I am currently enrolled in such a class; we are currently past midterms and we have yet to have a test or assignment, probably because the professor has canceled class all but two times. Making an A requires minimal effort in most classes, which frustrates me greatly. I had hoped graduate school would be a challenge, but I find myself bored more often than not. I have only had a small handful of classes to-date that have interested me. I enjoyed this university as an undergraduate, but as a graduate student, I wish I had gone elsewhere."

"Had a great, challenging time with my MBA. I went to TAMUC to LEARN and I did just that. Most people would complain about the difficulty, but the purpose was to get educated. TAMUC have some of the best professors who came from years of experience at the executive level. Awesome university!"

"Personally, the program was not a challenge. I do not feel as if it provided me with enough of the proper tools to be successful in the future. Some of the Faculty and Staff are amazing, and I owe so much to these few. However, with that said, there are several Faculty that I feel do not show appreciation for the students in the graduate program."

"The best part of the Graduate School of Social Work program at Texas A&M Commerce is the diversity of the courses. Whether you are studying to pursue a career in individual counseling or community administration, you will receive a gainful learning experience that encompasses all aspects of Social Work practice in this program."

"Pros - Allows for the highest level of recruitment opportunities. Firms target graduate programs harder than anywhere else and are focusing on hiring students with more education. Creates expert knowledge in your field, allowing you to jump-start your career with a higher knowledge base. - MS accounting prepare me for the CPA exam which greatly reduces study time necessary to pass each part. - Increases promotion ability and demand for a higher salary, ends up paying for itself and more over time. - Distinguishes your name, increasing your credibility and ability to promote yourself to employers and clients . - Clients will feel extra secure as well as feeling they are receiving more value knowing your advanced education accomplishments. Networking opportunities. Cons The cost. There is a significant number of benefits towards doing a Masters program, and the only real factor I see against it is the cost. However, most people don't seem to realize that there are ways to fight the cost of Graduate school. With the costs of education continuing to rise, this is something that requires serious thought. In decades past, education wasn't very expensive and it wasn't a big deal for a professional in the field for 10-15 years to decide they want to get their Masters. Today, it's a serious investment and something you may not be able to afford later in your career."

"Located in a sparse yet quiet town. Fantastic undergraduate program. Graduate school leaves much be desired for those with heavy ambition. A great school if you are married, have children, or commute because the atmosphere is really suited for older students and the workload is managable. You won't be buried in the library everyday, unless you want to be. A great place for theatre educators to make the step up. Small class sizes and fantastic assistantship opportunities. Education is at focus, and the teachers are friendly. However, if you are looking for mentorship or lifelong inspiration, this may not be the University for you as the school is a bit impersonal and not well suited for younger grad students."

"My program is one of the program that have a high demand on the job market. As other business program, the accounting field is very expensive. The accounting program cost a lot, due to the fact that rules and regulations of the profession change many times (such as GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS, GASB, AICPA and others regulatory standards provider) and you have to be up to date. So, you have to follow those changes, thing that cost a lot."

"The availability of the instructors impressed me a lot. All you have to do is just ask. Most of my professors use easiest ways through business practices to explain the materials. I strongly recommend the Business Programs to anyone that is looking to achieve practical knowledge in an affordable and well-recognized university."

"The psychology program at Texas A&M is superb, amazing research opportunities to work with people that are actively publishing work in the field of psychology. The professors were great and always showed you how to apply the material learned in class into real life experiences. A&M is a campus that is for you! You have the opportunity to work with great colleagues, attain a great education, work on a network that will open doors for you when you graduate, and get involved with great organizations. The libraries are phenomenal resources and you can check out movies for free! There was not one person or aspect of the University I have to complain about. Did I mention we have a phenomenal athletics program as well? Be prepared to study and give it your all but also to disconnect with amazing events held on campus. Make friends, they will be with you for a life time!"

"Wanted to go to Top 10 Tier One Research Graduate School for Mechanical Engineering which was a mistake. Professors don't care about teaching, but only their name being published even though they don't even help with the publishing. Instead, graduate students do the work with minimal guidance and often told to "fudge" data. On top of all of that, there is no funding for the graduate students doing all of the work."

"I am so excited to start my graduate school program, because it is blending several roles that a civil engineer will need to be in. I will have the opportunity to take business, public policy, and technical civil engineering classes while I am there. One aspect I am worried about from this program is about how well known it is among the professional civil engineering community. I am in a program called infrastructure management and safety. Not many people I have talked to have heard of this program yet."

"Tell us about your college experience. My school was very conservative and not at all diverse. I felt a bit out of place being the only hispanic in the room sometimes.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?I would not choose a different degree. I enjoy Accounting very much. What advice can you offer other students?Pick something that will get you a job."
