"Pros: Exceptional program. High accreditation and reputation from the nation. Exceptional faculty, existing student and program graduate support. Highly competitive program to get into to. Very selective admission process, for understandable reasons. Cons: Uncertain feeling of surroundings and living situation as well as financial aid support before program matriculation."

"The Texas Tech University pharmacy program is highly clinic-geared. Very little focuses on retail, independent, research, or compounding pharmacy. This may be seen as a way of the future for pharmacy schools, as the role of a pharmacist expands into a more clinical based practice. Many students who go into this program with hospital pharmacy in mind feel very fulfilled and happy with the program. However, some students feel that they will never face the scenarios we are usually presented with, because they wish to focus on the retail pharmacy world. The technology employed is very convenient. All campuses are video-linked so that if a professor is on another campus, the 4 satellite campuses can easily see and hear him or her. All lectures are recorded and posted online so that we can access the videos at any time. Most of our campuses are smaller, and classes do not number more than 120 students. Thus our professors know all the students and make a point to make themselves available. At this particular school of pharmacy, students are never just another face in the crowd."
