"Department is very friendly and the program is challenging and valuable, but surrounding area is lacking in outdoor activities and entertainment."

"The students were driven and friendly. The faculty were stern, but caring. I feel that Texas Tech offered many avenues for learning and growth beyond those found in a classroom. My professors were easily approachable, and seemed to care first and foremost about educating me. It was a valuable experience for me."

"Texas Tech University is located in a small city——Lubbock. It is not very convenient like other big places. But the people here is very nice. And It is a good place for study. There are not so many distractions."

"Texas Tech Law is an excellent regional law program. It is well regarded in the Texas legal community. The professors are dedicated and available to students. The open-door policy is exceptional and this leads to higher levels of student success. Tech Law is not a national law school and therefore does not have the reputation of a larger, more prominent school. An education from Tech Law is an excellent value, especially for those who plan to practice law in the state of Texas. The tuition rate is half that of private Texas schools and the access to post-graduate employment is similar."

"This program puts me at a huge advantage for internships. Although Lubbock can be dull, there are certain niches that are very impressive here. A tier 1 education in a small town atmosphere."

"At Texas Tech, there are endless opportunities within any area of research or study one chooses to pursue. In the science department, students like myself experience a friendly learning environment not to mention free tutoring on any subject you need. Student housing offer many options close to the college of study you need. The downside is the size of Texas Tech University. Getting from A to B can be nearly impossible on foot but Texas Tech makes up for it with their bus system."

"The biggest issues with the program are related to the location. First, it is very conservative. Second, it is not diverse. Third, there is not much to do here beyond the normal college town drinking. The library system is problematic as well. However, the program I am in has great, supportive faculty. I can always rely on them for questions about anything from life to professional development to how to deal with the future."

"Texas Tech enrollment is growing rapidly and big changes to campus and public transportation are starting to be needed. I cannot rate campus housing or career support at this point as a graduate student."

"I wish the on and off-campus transportation facility was better as they charge us for that in tuition but is not helpful at all :("

"Great place to be enrolled in grad school. Lubbock, TX is a little town with few distractions (not to say there is absolutely nothing to do, there is). Texas Tech is a big school and not to hard to get into. Lots of opportunities in Engineering; some very good programs, too."
