"Tell us about your college experience.I loved my college experience. Student Life is by and large the reason for this. I also had a great qiluality of education provided by some amazing professors.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?Everything happens for a reason. I chose my degree under the assumption of a legal career. Ultimately, I have found myself on another path. Having a degree outside my field did not hinder me but only because I had experience in my given field. What advice can you offer other students?I could never regret my choice in college because of the relationships I built and the knowledge gained. However, in this phase of my life I look at my debt and believe removing all emotional ties to my alma matter, did I make the best decision? Could I have the same salary if I chose a cheaper school? Hindsight is 20/20 so think backwards. Imagine not just your 18 year old self but what your 30 or 40 self would want. Also, your sucess is determined by what you bring to the table more than what university you attend. Understand your strengths & weakness then seek out resources and environments that will support those."

"GWU SMHS has its strengths and weaknesses like any other medical school. A handful of the faculty are highly invested in student learning, as are the deans. There are also a handful of course directors and department heads who are both receptive and responsive to student feedback. The student body is very diverse and fosters a student culture of collaboration. The curriculum is being completely revamped, which will hopefully lead to improved integration of material and more team and case-based learning."

"The training for the psychology program is extremely focused on developing both clinical and research skills so the students can be the adept and proficient psychologists."

"The full-time MBA program of the George Washington University is really a great MBA program. There are only 3 main things that you should consider before applying for GWU: first, Washington DC is expensive. Secondly, the university does not support or ease the way for the international students. Therefore, it is a little bit hard for an international student to pay the tuition and also to live in DC without any financial assistance. Finally, as the city is dominated by federal agencies and institutions, it might be hard for you to get a job. On the other hand, the program, curriculum, students enrolled and also the professors are really great. I strongly recommend it."

"The Epidemiology department has some great professors who have worked in the field for a long time. They are knowledgable and great to learn from. One thing I do not like is the exams have mostly been multiple choice exams, and I am not sure in a program like epidemiology that is the best way to measure competency. Washington D.C. is also VERY expensive in terms of cost of living"

"Attending graduate school for Higher Education in Washington, DC is extremely beneficial for the reason that there are numerous institutions of higher education in the area. My classmates and I have the opportunity to obtain graduate assistantships at a number of these schools which is helpful to gain a vast array of knowledge about various institution types. One of the cons about the program is that it seems very repetitive in terms of the courses and readings that we need to do. Some of the faculty members are great however others just make me reconsider being in this field."

"George Washington University is a great place for education and opportunities to network, build your resume, and find jobs. However, it's situated right in the heart of Washington DC, so cost of living is high. Tuition is also high! However, it's worth it."

"The GW SPHHS MPH was a fantastic degree in a wonderful city filled with opportunities. The faculty were well versed, experience experts in the field who genuinely cared about our well fare and job future. Internship opportunities were limitless and with some of the best private, public and NGO organizations in the world. I can't enough good things about this program. It had prepared me for a wonderful career as a health provider."

"My graduate program has oppened up career and networking opportunities that were not available to me before. I would give also give it top rankings in terms of academic value and financial support. However, it is a program tha may not be affordable to most people."

"Yes - I studies for my BS and my MS at GWU. At first I was not sure what I wanted to be and initially I enrolled as an Electrical Engineer but switched to Mechanical. As I completed my MS I realized my strength was in computer software development, and eventually pursued that path. GWU allowed me to explore all of these options. Don't afraid to think out of the box in terms of what you would like to study; college is about finding out about yourself now that you are "out there" - cast your net far and wide!"

"Loved the campus and worked there as well. The program was a perfect match for my skills and interests - and there were many options for electives. The faculty were well-known in the field. However, not all were great teachers although they were great mentors and very supportive advisors. The focus of the program was laying a theoretical foundation and building practical skills in the field of organization development. From there I was able to practice and go on to build another doctoral program in OD in Minnesota. I would have enrolled in the PhD in organizational psychology, instead of the EdD, which is viewed by some as less rigorous. Find your passion, find the best school that offers advanced graduate programs in your field, learn all you can, network like crazy, and do what you love to do."

"I think the accounting program is a good program because there are so many opportunities to network with major companies and pursue different areas in our career. There are a variety of classes one can take in our program as well."

"MHSA program. Is very good at getting you in, but once you are in there is a lack of support. They require a "residency" experience to graduate. But will not help you apply for this. You write your own recommendation letters and the director of the program signs it. As for job? that's if you are lucky. Too costly for something that won't really be worth it. You can take electives at the MBA school. So that's a good thing because the finance prep this program provides is not sufficient. Pro: The DC metro area is great. Lots of intellectuals and a capital of our nation. Great scene for art, music and foodies"
