"Graduated from MDC. Got accepted in FIU quickly. Wanted to enroll to RN to BSN program. A lot of questinable fees/classes. For intance, the university wants me to take 3 classes (adult, peds,ob) from Person vue for the price of 3x$380. Which does not provide any GPA change or Credits amount. I took official HESI class exams with transcripts at MDC, but FIU wants me to re-take it?!?! I guess not.... The other thing - health insurance for the school. I do understand if I have to have a liability insurance and medical accident insurance for the semester, but how my health insurance will help me? Labs appointments, doctor appointments, annual check-ups??? You have to have your basic physical check up for Complio before semester starts, but there is no rationale for having health insurance. Clinical rotations director/manager did not provide me with satisfying answer. I think it is a scum and students do not realize that. I think I go for my Bachelors in MDC and will drop FIU."

"Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (better known as TEDS) at Trinity International University has a strong and well-earned reputation for being academically rigorous above all else. If attending to complete an M.Div degree (as a large majority of students do), don't expect to complete the degree in three years or less without a significant workload that borders on being excessive. That being said, you will learn a great deal from some of the most well-known academic minds in the Christian world, and the degree certainly looks good when you get it."

"Amazing faculty, especially within your major (and since it's a smaller school, you really get to know them). Sometime the rules about personal conduct can seem a bit strict (i.e. no smoking or drinking, even off campus at pain of getting kicked out of school)."

"TIU, specifically the seminary side (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) is one of the top evangelical seminaries in the nation, and houses many of the greatest scholars in the areas of theology and biblical studies. The professors are down to earth, helpful, and concerned with your education. The connections one interested in Christian ministry will gain are invaluable and plentiful. I think TEDS does a good job of providing balance in terms of providing a place where those interested in academic ministry can pursue that, as well as a place that is suitable for those simply interested in gaining knowledge and skills for church/para-church service, though such people will be stretched to engage their minds more. There are some unique degree offerings such as the MA/Bioethics and an AP MDiv for those with prior coursework in this area, which saves a lot of time and money, and is unique as far as I can tell compared with other seminaries' MDiv degrees. There are plenty of on-campus fairs to get connected with different organizations and denominations, besides networking with students and professors. TEDS also offers unique venues for engaging culture, such as Mosaic Fellowship, a weekly gathering engaging the issue of reconciliation in its manifold manifestations, and is genuinely concerned with taking steps to better the experience of international students and the student body in general. Compared to other graduate schools, tuition is actually quite affordable, and the scholarship options are fair for a seminary, dorms are a decent price compared to the housing in the surrounding area, and the cafeteria food is actually quite good if one chooses to live on campus. Finally, the proximity to downtown Chicago provides many opportunities for engaging different academic and ministerial venues. Concerning areas of weakness or improvement, one of the only things I can think of may be the homogeneity of the student body, which is in actuality a reflection of the community, so this isn't necessarily something that can be controlled that much. There are a good number of international students to encourage diversity in thinking and researching, but this is something that I am sure has been thought upon much and is being encourged in other ways."

"The environment at Trinity is extremely supportive and the faculty is always accessible and encouraging. The courses challenge you academically and personally and many of the programs are flexible to your specific needs. My time at Trinity has been very valuable. Even though it is a small school, the community is very supportive. The location is in a suburb of Chicago which is very safe and has everything one needs."

"The pros of this graduate program is the Christian based foundation that is integrated into the courses of study. The school is small so there is plenty of opportunity to get support during the year. There are ample career clinics, organizations, and internships. The cons of the program include a lack of sufficient technology resources for students."

"Trinity has several great qualities. First, the academic rigor here is incredible. I really feel like I'm getting the best religious education possible. Second, the networking opportunities are great. I know that when I graduate from Trinity I will be able to go anywhere in the world and find fellow graduates. Trinity also has some weaknesses. The heavy focus on academics means that community suffers, and I find it difficult to have meaningful interaction outside of class with professors. The campus feels academic, but not like a community."

"Excellent, knowledgeable, compassionate, and sincere faculty who teach a strong biblical worldview and competent counseling. I feel I am being well prepared for a future in counseling and ministry. The student body is diverse and the program incorporates diversity in all courses. The school is expensive and in an expensive area. Academic work is difficult and competitive."

"Pros: The Intercultural Studies program is designed with a versatility for students to explore their own interests in relation to Christian mission. The core courses are excellent for building a solid foundation in church and mission theology. After completing foundation courses, students are able to select from a wide range of electives such as courses on counseling, bioethics, or education. The program prepares students to effectively contextualize their faith in unique circumstances; there aren't model answers we are taught to memorize. Cons: The Deerfield campus is located about 40 mins north of the City of Chicago. It is hard for a part-time student to build community when the campus is located in the suburbs. Another thing is, each professor adopts a different standard on technology, which means some professors still prefer paper copies while some allow digital submissions."

"Trinity Evangelical Divinity School offers one of the best evangelical conservative Mdivs in the country, yet also has a broad base of views taught within that context. It is a great place to flesh out your theology and talk it through in an atmosphere of trust and equality. Those going into full-time ministry will find churches and ministries knocking on their doors. The only drawback to TEDS is the price tag for credit hours. Considering its location in an expensive area of Chicagoland and its top notch faculty, I suppose you cannot expect less."

"Trinity is a prestigious evangelical institution with a reputation for academic rigor and ministry preparation, which are both important for a divinity school. It is located in an affluent suburb of Chicago, which provides a safe and beautiful environment but does not give a great amount of opportunity for vibrant social life. The faculty and administration are very helpful and available."

"Trinity Evangelical Divinity School is an excellent school. The faculty are invested and engaged with the students through formation groups as well as classes. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The students strive to be involved with each other in more than just academics. The community at Trinity as a whole strives to seek God and honor Him in an academic setting."

"It is a good school but does not give the students the tools they need to be successful. The technology is outdated the faculty is great but over worked with to many classes"
