"I absolutely loved the School of journalism at the University of Arizona. The professors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It's a smaller school with a decent sized faculty team, which I really enjoyed. It allowed me to develop relationships with my professors and my classmates. There was a lot of one-on-one time and I never felt hesitant to ask questions or attend office hours. There are plenty of opportunities to go out in the field and perfect your journalism skills. This includes traveling to cover stories at the border, attending sporting events to learn how to interview and even attending city council meetings to perfect your reporting skills. I'm so proud to have a degree from the U of A! Bear Down!"

"The University of Arizona's Public Health program is exceptional. It gives you a well-rounded education that will serve you in many areas of your life. The professors I worked with in the program cared deeply about helping the world and ameliorating systematic problems in our healthcare system; many of them have worked abroad and have witnessed these problems first-hand."

"This was an amazing program! I learned so much from the professors and although I was not a traditional student, I was accepted without issue. I had originally started as a nutrition major and it was easy to switch my degree. The U of A is a well recognized college and the program has some of the best in the field!"

"I really loved my education with the University of Arizona. I was able to complete internships that really guided me in knowing what I wanted to do in my career, and it allowed me to make connections that I otherwise wouldn't have. I made lifelong friends through the University of Arizona that I still keep in contact with and will continue to keep in contact with throughout my life. I enjoyed all of my classes and the variety of classes that were available to me as a student there. I was able to switch my major and still graduate on time, which is a major feat in today's education system and allowed me to save money while studying what I actually wanted to study. I would highly recommend attending the University of Arizona, as it will most certainly change your life for the better."

"I liked the University of Arizona because the campus is beautiful and the professors really care about their research and are very supportive of students. Even in my larger classes, I felt that professors were invested in my education and willing to help me with any questions or academic pursuits. Although the school is large, the history program, which I was enrolled in, is very small. I was able to get to know my classmates easily, and I even got an internship my last year through contact with my thesis advisor. The professors are very knowledgeable about what is going on at the school and in the community. I was always encouraged to attend public lectures and community events. The only negative about the school is that, if you are in a larger program, it is difficult to get to know your classmates and professors. The school has a lot of options for extracurricular activities too, with hundreds of clubs and multiple community service organizations to get involved wit."

"The academic environs are fantastic, with highly qualified teachers, but it does have a few things that leave something to be desired. First, if you are an in-state student, don't expect much in the way of financial aid from the school, even if you have a high GPA. If you want to get the distinction of graduating with honors, you also have to graduate from the Honors College, which is an extra $2000 dollars over the course of your education. The Honors College requires so much that it's impossible to graduate from it, if you're a transfer student. You have to be involved in the work study program in order to get a job on campus, and the work study program is only for the lowest of the low income students, so it's impossible to try to make ends meet."

I also truly appreciated the flexibility and options to attain my degree."

"Attending the University of Arizona is one of the greatest experiences of my life. The teachers were amazing. Each teacher took the time to answer every students question with care and coherence. Every class was filled with discussion or exciting lectures. Every class felt like you had paid for a guest speaker series. Class sizes were far from too big as well. I also found the financial aid office and resources to be top notch. I also had a positive experience when meeting with my academic adviser. I had the same academic adviser throughout my time at the University of Arizona. Having the same adviser each semester allowed for them to learn what type of classes I enjoyed and eventually they started giving me great suggestions for classes to take. My colleagues were great as well. Everyone on campus is very friendly. The friendly culture of the University of Arizona is exactly why I decided to attend the school. I felt at home when I visited the spring before attending in the fall. I would recommend attending the University of Arizona to anyone! It really is an amazing institution. I graduated with Honors and I can assure you I was challenged every step of the way. However, that is what I think a good school should provide; a challenge. You will also fall in love with Tucson. It is a great small college town that will definitely grow on you. The local are great and there is always plenty to do around the campus. Also, you will love the school spirit! By the time you leave, you will definitely be saying: Bear Down!!!!"

"The University of Arizona was a wonderful institution to attend while obtaining my Bachelor's degree. The school is located in Tucson, Arizona and is what you picture when you think of a typical college town. Everyone in the city roots for the Wildcats and their is an overwhelming sense of school spirit and Wildcat pride. Students at UA will have the opportunity to learn from great professors and gain real world experience through extra curricular activities, research positions, jobs, and internships. The faculty go above and beyond to make your experience exactly what you want it to be! Bear down!"

"The university of Arizona College of Nursing was everything that I had hoped it would be. The instructors were tough but also incredibly supportive. Furthermore, the instructors at the University of Arizona promoted critical thinking within the clinical setting that prepared myself and my fellow colleagues for successful nursing careers. The professors are extremely dedicated to the success of their students and often times would give up their lunches or stay late to provide additional support to students that asked for it."

"The U of A is a beautiful campus with lots of history and great educational programs. Sports are a huge part of the campus but definitely not mandatory to partake in. The veterinary science program in particular is fantastic and has dozens of amazing professors who get involved with your education both in school and out of school. They often volunteer their time on weekends to give hands on assistance to students to help them learn important veterinary concepts."

"The University of Arizona as a whole is an amazing school. There are lots of opportunities to grow and learn both in and out of the classroom. I had an amazing experience there as a Wildcat. Campus life is fun and school-spirited. Tucson is a college town so there is a lot of support by the public which is fantastic. The College of Education in which I attended was a great experience. My cohort was full of amazing ladies with dreams of becoming Elementary School Teachers. I highly recommend the University of Arizona for your college path."

"The University of Arizona is a great school that provides a good preparation both for employment and grad school. The department of Communication is especially excellent in research and there are many faculty that continuously have research studies going on. It is a perfect start for anyone, but especially for who wants to continue their education as they also offer a Master and an accelerated master for exemplary undergraduate students. I really recommend the department of Communication at the University of Arizona. The only negative experience that I had is with advising. They are not very helpful and sometimes rude. You can just plan everything by yourself as they aren't much of a help."

It is definitely a community that I enjoy being a part of and I think it is very easy to become involved as everybody seems very welcoming, the staff is extremely accessible as well from the professor's in their office hours to being able to speak to my Academic Adviser on a walk-in basis the tools are there to help you exceed."

  • Degree: Biomedical Engineering
"Two word that describes the Biomedical Engineering program at the University of Arizona is opportunity and academics. The support from the advisors helps open undergraduates to different opportunities in research positions, internships, networking, and career services. From looking back at my four years, I realized how much I have improved my critical thinking and technical skills by working at a biosensors and biomechanics lab. My development in research practices is all by my undergraduate advisor. She takes the extra effort in sending out emails to all students, promoting available research/job positions (on-campus and out-of-state). Not only there are opportunities in research, but also in networking with companies and other professors at the department. This department has its own extracurricular activity/club that allows undergraduates to create connections with industries and various professors. Not only this department creates opportunities for students, but also it also known for its wide range of academics. From molecular biology to thermodynamics, the academic curriculum consist of a wide range scientific subjects (electrica circuits, fluid mechanics, physiology, computer programming, etc). As a college student, this type of curriculum will be useful for students with a high ambition in the science community and would allow them to learn new technical skills. From lab-work to computer programming, these types of skills will prepare students to work anywhere. Overall, the Biomedical Engineering department at the University of Arizona shall prepare students, who has a passion in science, for industry by creating opportunities for them and having a diverse curriculum."
