"The Bridgeport area is very unsafe but the on campus security do a excellent job of keeping the area secure and clean. The diversity of the program and school is very unique and helps add to my global health education. The program is relatively new but shows a lot of promise for the future and I feel lucky to call myself a Bridgeport University graduate student."

"The university was HORRIBLE for a Masters in Education. It was free and that was the only reason I went there. Many teachers have doctorates, but that means NOTHING. Many of these "professors" are not from America. Their English is poor and there are a lot of miscommunications due to this. I would be happy with these "professors" if they had experience IN the classroom, unfortunately most haven't. They're teaching based on theory. Theory doesn't translate to actually working in a classroom environment. I went as a intern student. The knowledge I got from being "in the field" was way more than I got from this University. I will say that the buildings at the University are in the middle of being improved. It was an old campus, and for being in the middle of a remodel it's looking good!"

"The technicality of this graduate program always makes it a good bet and puts you in a solid position to approach the labor market. At University of Bridgeport the well experienced faculty have made learning course concepts a lot easier and comprehensible."

"The Master's in Education program at the University of Bridgeport is very well grounded and hands-on. As an intern and grad student, I was able to practice what I learned in class and then take it to my internship school the next day to try out. The professors are all experts in the field and very current with the state requirements for certification. The test preparation they give you is excellent and they work very hard to make sure you understand the material and know how to use it."

"This is an amazing program, it is hard work and intense because it is so condensed, but well worth the effort you put in."

"Workload was productive, not busywork. However, there is simply a lot of information covered by this program in a short period of time and students are expected to know all of this information. I still have a positive feeling about the program as a whole."

"I believe that the program at the University of Bridgeport still requires some work. However, the School's new Business School Dean has embarked in several initiatives for the betterment of the program and School. Among these include surveying every student, starting a newsletter, and increasing class time for the weekend courses. I think those looking for a diverse program with special attention from every Professor, should look no further."

"The coursework is very competitive. The only thing I would change about the school is its location in Bridgeport."

"Pros -- The program has supportive faculty who are actively working in the field and are able to bring us relevant clinical advice. -- Professionalism as a core value has been instilled in all the students. -- The program prides itself on welcoming diversity The only con is that even though it's great to be part of a new program, it still has a couple "quirks" to be worked out. Overall it is a fabulous program :)"

"This school is a big ripoff. They charge a lot of money from students, but give nothing back. Some of the teachers can't even speak proper English. Living on-campus is terrible. Sometimes you don't get hot water for hours. There's a health center that closes at 6pm. And the gym has nothing. You can put at most 5 people in the weight lifting area and only about 5 machines. There are only a few basketball courts. No other intramural sports as they mention on the website.I sent my official transcripts from another school, and the admissions office manage to lose them. And some services that are supposed to be confidential are run by student workers, hence no confidence at all.Especially, the International Services advisors are impossible to reach for any advisement. They don't seem to care about the students. Some advisors don't even smile at you unless they personally know you. There is a library, with small amount of books and printing costs 15 cents per page.Overall, University of Bridgeport is a terrible place to study that is located in a unsafe area. My advice is, any other university is hundred times better than U of Bridgeport in many different ways."
