"The biggest advantage of graduate program is the potential increase in salary and job options. The biggest disadvantage of graduate program is the cost of tuition."

"I entered this program as a way to enhance my science background for medical school. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The faculty are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in your career aspirations. Additionally, the classwork is challenging, but I feel as if I have learned more in my past year and a half than I did in all my past studies. I would strongly recommend this program to everyone."

"The small class sizes lend themselves to an intellectual understanding beyond just surface material. Each student is expected to take a central role in their own educational process."

"The University of Central Florida has the second highest student population in the United States, so students will not be lacking in a (diverse) social life if they just puts themselves out there. There are numerous clubs and organizations for students to join. Speaking towards the undergraduate classes, I enjoyed the majority of them; a few others, I feel could have been taught differently. Again, the responsibility to make the most out of the classes falls on the students' shoulders. I feel that the majority of the professors are amazing, friendly, and approachable. The school has an amazing amount of resources for students, including two bookstores, two libraries, at least 4 computer labs (not including the computers available on just about every floor of the library), a study center, a test prep center, free tutoring for certain classes, and that's what I can come up with off the top of my head. The Student Government Association reimbursed $150 for each student who attended a conference related to my major. The opinions toward surrounding areas and transportation will vary among the students. I, personally, am not a fan of urban sprawl and think that the public transportation in central Florida can be considered poor, compared to its potential. That said, there are a few LYNX bus lines that stop at UCF and there are students who use them. There isn't a lot within walking distance around UCF that students would enjoy with the exception of a two plazas where students can get something to eat.The off-campus student apartments within walking distance to the university are ridiculously expensive (the closest ones cost $630+ for a room in a 4bd). The university does offer free shuttle rides to and from campus to those complexes, and they are usually convenient if the students get a feel for the bus schedules. There are also shuttles to transport students around the campus itself. Regarding financial aid, the majority of financial aid officers I've spoken to were very capable and helpful. I haven't attempted to network through UCF nor have I used the Career Services. Overall, I'm very pleased with UCF and I'm glad I came here. I would recommend this university to other people."

"There are certain opportunities and information at UCF that require a lot of effort to discover. Orlando can be frustrating to get around. But once you get a feel for everything, it's a great place to learn."

"There are a substantial amount of opportunity for research and graduate school courses at UCF. The school is still in its upbringings so it has substantial opportunity. Being this type of school it has its limits to funding as well."

"The school provides a lot of opportunity in terms of academic achievement, networking and career growth. Faculty has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field they are teaching. I would recommend this school to everyone I know. It is the perfect environment for any student to grow in. Its location is also excellent. Students are of various backgrounds and its always interesting to meet people from different cultures. Compared to a lot of schools in the states, it has fairly less tuition costs and yet manages to provide a lot in return. I find value in the time, money and energy I spend as a student here."

"A pro about my graduate program is that the classes are fairly small (20 students). It allows me to get a more personal experience. The con is that many classes are not offered on the same day. I am 50 miles off campus and have to drive to campus three times a week for three classes."

"I love being a part of the artistic community. Everyone is incredibly knowledgable and thoughtful in their feedback and I'm constantly learning from my peers as well as my professors. The people that I am studying with truly love what they do and the professors are passionate about their craft. There is a severity to the study of writing at the University of Central Florida, that nurtures and challenges me. Unfortunately, the program is costly and UCF offers extremely little in the way of additional financial support outside of loans. The arts at UCF are given small importance, which diminishes fund opportunities I suppose. I went to UCF as an undergrad and I honestly expected more from the graduate department regarding scholarships or grants for the program."

"UCF is a very big school containing a lot of students which makes for a on school of activities and there is always something going on socially. Academically, UCF is not that rewarding. Theres' too little faculty to match the number of students and a student can't learn that much going into big classrooms."

"This school is great. There's always something to do on campus and the surrounding area. The Orlando area is also very affordable and you can't beat the weather. The only downfall is how large the campus is, you may get lost a few times but you'll get used to it."

I would recommend pursuing a degree from this institution to anyone looking for high quality, meaningful instruction."

"The University of Central Florida is a great school online and on campus. The coursework varies with each teacher, but in general it directly relates to the subject of the class and aids you in understanding and learning that subject. The online learning tools I have used so far at UCF are webcourses, which is a UCF website that allows professors to post assignments, notes, and emails all in one place so it is organized and easy for the student to access and understand what is expected of them and all due dates.MyMathLab and MasteringChemistry are also frequently used at UCF, those websites host the assignments such as homework, quizzes, and tests, all on one website and link the directly to your teachers grade book so no one could ever lose your homework or mark the wrong grade for your test. I have always had positive and helpful interactions with my classmates. Whether or not our opinions coincide about a topic in discussions, or we're just discussing group assignments I have always found my classmates respectful and knowledgeable. My instructors have always been great at UCF. Many are willing to help you on assignments or answer any of your questions before tests. Before most tests I've taken my instructor has opened up an online chat between themself and their students at a designated time. The instructors are easily accessible. I honestly recommend UCF as an online or on campus college for anyone. UCF is my home, I love the campus, I love the instructors, and I love the amount of classes they offer online. If you want a good education, and are willing to put effort into your classes this is the college for you."

The staff and professors are not only eager to help you learn but provide information for preparing for Grad school and your career.I would recommend the school for anyone that would like some extra guidance along the way."
