"I feel that I am participating in a very good graduate program. We have staff that are not only teaching, but also currently working in the field and have practical experience. I feel that we are learning a lot from this program, and the teachers are there to support us and help us to do well. The only con I can think of is that most of the teachers are adjunct professors. This means that it can be hit or miss with how well the professor teaches the course."

"The department is somewhat chaotic in that there has been a decent amount of confusion when it comes to the expectations of the students. The majority of the anthropology classes are discussion based with a heavy emphasis on student participation. Also, most graduate couses are open to undergraduates because the graduate department is not very big. Funding opportunities may be available one semester but not the next."

"The quality of education is good but the college does not put adequate effort/assistance to make sure that engineering grads get timely jobs/internships after they graduate."

"The department is a warm place that provides students with the ability to grow as scholars and people. We are challenged at every turn to not only know theory, and understand it, but make it applicable to our world, and changes there within."

"Pros: The co-op program is absolutely invaluable. By the time I graduate I will have 1 year of work experience, connections nationwide and, I was lucky enough to get a job offer before I even finished my degree. Cons: The school depends on its co-op to attract students and does little to advance its academic standing. Administration is a mess, getting paperwork done is a nightmare and the whole organization is a disaster. The majority of the faculty does not care about the student's well being or future, and some cannot be bothered to show up for classes at all."

"The best parts is the active help of the faculty in encouraging and preparing students for research projects and their presentation in national conferences. You don't just get a degree but actually become proficient in your chosen filed. High faculty to student ratio ensures each student gets adequate attention. The combination of lectures, discussions, presentations and seminars provides enough variety to all kinds of students to learn. It is joy to be in UC with a diverse student body and plenty of social events! I love it:)"

"The program is lacking a lot of support for their third year students looking for externship placements. The faculty will write you letter of recommendation, but few have actually followed up on how your search and interview process is going. There are no suggestions given on places to apply, no help in the search for places to apply. The process has been entirely on the students."

"The opera program in Cincinnati is of the best in the country. The faculty is amazing and really work hard to help their students reach the highest level of success. They show us what it means to be a professional in this field and expect nothing less than those out in the real world would. Being in the program, thus far I do not see any cons. It is as I expected and we the students are working towards being professional performers. Everything we do has a purpose and brings us one step closer to reaching our goals."

"I loved my degree program and the university as a whole. UC has many students attend, yet, our campus is very condensed so you still get that home-like feeling of knowing the people you pass by even though there are so many students. I absolutely loved my program because the civil engineers were all very friendly. We were more like family than classmates and helped each other through school. It was a great experience. But don't get me wrong, you do have to work very very hard for your degree in engineering at UC. The first year is basically the testing period. We were given a lot of work and responsibility, but if you are motivated and determined, you will get by fine. You have to work hard, but you'll definitely enjoy the ride at UC."

"Overall, extremely organized program that was straight forward with high expectation from instructors. Surprisingly, I learned not only about criminal justice, but how to become a much better writer. This program is all writing and that comes with preparation and the willingness to learn. The program requires experience in the field instead of a GRE. Students need to submit a resume in order to get accepted. It is a wonderful online experience."

"University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is the exact place I wanted. As an Ohio native , it will allow me to become a great physician both academically and personally. Even better it will allow me to do so while giving back to my home which is an opportunity not all schools provide."

"Each class consists of around 100 students, which is a nice class size for lectures and for making friends. The faculty make themselves available to students and many are open to the idea of conducting extra study sessions for students. The Cincinnati area provides many experiential learning sites and experiences, so students do not have to drive very far for rotations."

"The pro, is that it is challenging, so it causes you to both think and work harder. On the other hand , its very group oriented, so this will be beneficial to those who rather or rather not work in groups."

"I feel that my program in Mechanical engineering will surely equip me to face the daunting technology revolution in a very confident manner. Given the rich experience which I have of hands on maintenance and operations this acdemic work will pave the way for cutting edge skills required of an engineer. If given a chance i would also like to pursue doctorate program in same."

"The music program at the University of Cincinnati is nationally recognized as being one of the best available. I am receiving the training I need to be successful in my field, which is the exact desire I had for my graduate program. I study with a current working professional in the field who does everything he can to prepare me to follow in his footsteps. The city is not the safest environment, but I commute from outside the city, so I don't really list that as a con for me. I'm very satisfied with my time at UC!"

"The pros of the program are that each class is comprised of a diverse student body, it is located near five hospitals, and the faculty are committed to knowing you and helping you to become the best pharmacist and student you can be. The cons to the program are that it is located in a not-so-great part of Cincinnati, the parking is expensive, and the building is very old and could use some updates."
