Funding can be a huge issue but in general I think all of the faculty do exciting cutting edge research and are there to help the students learn and excel in the program and in the future. I think the variety of research is refreshing and nice to not be in just a microbiology program. The Delaware Biotechnology building is a wonderful asset allowing us the ability to work with cutting edge imaging and sequencing.
