"Great campus, you really get to understand what being a Florida Gator is. The campus and the Gator Nation is vibrant, great opportunity for networking and there are courses that will challenge your way of thinking. It really helps you prepare for life after college. I enjoyed my experience at UF and hope you all can understand what it feels to say, "Its Great to BE A FLORIDA GATOR!""

"The University of Florida is an incredible college that truly tries to foster the personal and professional growth of their students. As a student interested in joining the healthcare field, I found ample opportunities to become involved in research, shadow healthcare professionals, and engage in clinical and community based outreach efforts. All of these activities were fostered in addition to a world class education that I would not change for the world. The vast majority of professors here are incredibly passionate about their fields of study and provide awesome sources of mentorship and networking opportunities for students who excel and show interest in their studies. The one area I believe our university could improve upon would be the area of financial support for students. Despite receiving many scholarship offers from other comparable universities within the state, Neither I nor any of my friends received any type of financial assistance other than loans. This being said, cost of attendance is actually very affordable and is a bargain for the education you will receive."

"As a student in the University of Florida College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, I was exposed to a wide array of educational opportunities in research, service, enrichment programs, and seminars. My college was very attentive to student needs and always took the initiative to make students aware of upcoming events, financial aid and employment resources, and networking. My advisors and professors maintained an open-door policy and were quick to address any student concerns. My classes were enriching in material, stimulating in delivery, and practical in application. UF is a thriving college town that is rich in cultural diversity, challenging academics, and incomparable school spirit. Thanks to charitable alumni, the facilities are getting even better and bigger while the affordable, top-notch education guarantees every bang for your buck. Being in a large university setting can be tough at times, but the comraderie is unquestionable; the Gator Nation really is everywhere! This is the place to be. Go Gators!"

"There is no experience quite like the one you get at the University of Florida. UF becomes a family to you and gives you opportunities that you would have never thought possible. Even being an extremely large university, UF allows everyone to find their place at the school. There are several resources to get students help when needed, and everyone has the opportunity to succeed."

"The University of Florida College of Nursing went above and beyond in order to prepare me and my fellow classmates for the demanding, yet rewarding field of nursing. As a practicing Registered Nurse, I feel confident in the care that I provide to my patients. I am proud to be an RN and even more proud to call myself a Gator Nurse! Because of the education I received from the University of Florida and the experience and confidence I have gained by working at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital, I am excited and honored to be advancing my nursing education and career by attending the Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesia program at the University of South Florida this fall."

"Going in as an anthropology degree and being in a liberal arts college was at first a very daunting task, but with the guidance offered by the University of Florida's advisers, professors, and graduate students I was able to find my niche, intern at the United States Marshal Service and even graduate college with a full time job. At the university of Florida there is a huge outlet for opportunity and guidance, with students and teachers alike willing to help you and make sure you take advantage of the opportunities offered! My experience here was great!"

"UF is a good blend of the big-campus feel with the small-city perks. There is a huge emphasis on research, which is terrific if you're in a STEM discipline because there are lots of opportunities to advance your skills and really feel out your interests. Gainesville itself is great, and there is a lot to do, especially if you are into nature. Also, for a school deep in the south, the student body is generally very liberal and open-minded."

"The University of Florida adequately prepared me for graduate school. The anthropology program is excellent and is filled with various faculty who are willing to help. The campus is inviting and with a recently renovated student union, UF provides students with a space to call their own. I was really involved with the Black Student Union and the Hispanic Student Association and both of these clubs provided me with a safe space to be myself. I made many wonderful memories in football games, Friday nights in bars and attending class regularly. GO GATORS!"

"The classes I took make me feel prepared to go into the field of study I am pursuing. However, there needs to be improvement in how the classes are taken from Freshman to Senior transitions. I found that there were some classes I took later on in my collegiate career that would've greatly helped myself as a Freshman or Sophomore. The lack of communication between student and counselor is shocking. Not only for my own college but from what I've heard from others. To combat this, I would make biweekly visits to the counselor's office in order to make myself known and corroborate my plans to ensure I was following the right path. Unfortunately, I realized the lack of communication later on in my career so it didn't have as much impact as it would from a Freshman or Sophomore starting point. The University of Florida is a great school with challenging curriculum. I have nothing but utmost respect for those pursuing any type of degree from this magnificent college. As with all large schools, parking can be a bit of a hassle, however the University provides a multitude of ways to combat this. Additionally, I extremely appreciated the Apple Service Center ( one of the many things UF offers freely) in which you can take problem computers to figure out what is going on, at no charge. The Student Government in addition to the University works to make it an enjoyable and safe place for all who come here."

"Although reluctant at first, my decision to attend the University of Florida was the best decision I have made for my myself professionally, academically, and personally. As far as student life is concerned, UF is a diverse school with organizations and clubs that span all interests. The city of Gainesville itself is vibrant and youthful because UF attracts so many young adults. I still find myself enthralled at the beauty of the campus. Something about the brick buildings and willow trees make this campus a perfect place to learn but also relax. The campus has a great sense of pride, and our sport teams are ranked amongst the best with plenty of opportunities to show your school spirit at games. The resources here are another positive aspect of this school. The campus has multiple libraries and gyms, plenty of great food options, and even a lake with activities such as kayaking and rock climbing. Academically, I have been challenged yet helped if need be. All of the professors I have had are talented educators, while also going above and beyond to support me in any way they can. Within my own department, I have developed the skills I need to succeed in life and more specifically my field. I would encourage anyone in the Psychology department, although I feel strongly that this holds true for all departments, to foster relationships with your professors. My biggest take away from my time at UF is the mentorship. My professors have been so giving of their own experiences, challenges, triumphs, etc. I discovered exactly what I wanted to do in psychology in the office of one of my professors. I was offered a research assistant position in the office of one of my professors. I ran into the office of one of my professors when I began struggling with applying to graduate school. My point is that the community of the University of Florida as a whole lifts you up. I have been supported by this university and, because of that, have exciting opportunities in my future."

"The University of Florida is a prestigious university that I had been looking forward to going to my whole life. Both my father and my uncle attended so my excitement when I got accepted was off the charts. I had to apply to get into my undergraduate program which was quite stressful, but I was accepted. There were times when I felt poorly guided and other times when I felt I could really look up to my teachers. I would recommend this program to others because I feel it is a great field and can truly help the world but when it comes to the organization of the program, I feel it needs some work."

"The University of Florida is a great top-rated university with numerous areas of interest/avenues to pursue. Although the curriculum is challenging, it is geared towards making the Gator Nation one that is strong, perceptive, and competitive within the ever-changing , mutli-resourced/connected communities we wish to enhance. The Gator Nation is a great community of growth and potential excellence. As with any community, we are ever-growing and are continuously looking forward to enhancing our community and the members within our cities that allow our 'nation' to flourish."

"I am a recent UF graduate (c/o 2016) and will continue my studies towards my PharmD at the University of Florida this upcoming Fall 2017. UF is for sure the best college in Florida and one of the best in the nation. The quality of education is great and for the price you pay (around 6,300$) compared to other schools in the nation, I think it's a good deal. I've got to say classes here were not an easy walk in the park but I surely learned a lot. I started college at my local community college and I do see the difference in the way materials are taught and also what you get out of it at the end of the course. There are many clubs and opportunities available at UF for you to maybe shadow someone in the career you want to undertake or have experience in the field you want major in. One downside of the school is there are a lot of students just as talented and capable as you are, so the competition is high for sure; this however should not discourage you but rather push you to do your best. You will not get to know many of your teachers here, as I just mentioned, there are many students, but this happens at most universities. The school is quite diverse and every one seems to be friendly. I am proud to say that I am a gator and will always have good memories of UF! I know the education I received here is invaluable and will help me in my career and the name of the school surely holds its prestige and reputation that will look great on future job applications."

"The University of Florida has an exceptional College of Education. The faculty are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I picked the University of Florida for my Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction because of the rigor of the program and the location. The curriculum was flexible enough for me to modify my classes and challenge myself. I was able to take doctorate level courses as a master level student and gained an immense amount of knowledge. I participated in a research study and was selected to present that research at AERA (The American Educational Research Association) conference. Conference presentation experience was invaluable. I only would have been able to do that because I took the class. I really liked that the courses served a practical purpose instead of a theoretical one which a lot of colleges focus on. The campus environment was also inviting. I really felt like I was part of a community of scholars and teachers while I was there. I highly recommend the University of Florida for any future teacher. The knowledge and experience you will gain is significant. I still reflect on some of the classes I took and use that knowledge to help me as a high school teacher."

"The University of Florida is school that has become increasingly diverse and supportive of its student population as a whole. Over time, the resources have multiplied exponentially to address the needs of its community. Whether it be from financial needs to mental and emotional support, there are a bevy resources available at the disposal of the students. With that being said, it would be nice if there was a seminar dedicated to educating the students who may be the first in their family to go to college. The professors in my field were very helpful in their strategies of leading us into the paths of our careers. They are very intentional about the content they give us and encourages us to expand our learning outside of the classroom."

"UF is one of the best institutions in Florida. With a student-friendly community and responsive staff, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at UF. Housing off-campus is cheap. There is a huge variety of clubs and activities for all personalities and interests. The education is top-notch with a very intelligent faculty."
