"I love UofL. It has a great urban environment and wonderful teachers, mentors, and advisors. There is never a shortage of things to do, both in and out of the classroom and our sports are among the best in the nation."

"Even though I am not currently in graduate school. I really feel that I learned a lot from the Education Program at U of L. I felt prepared to be a teacher. I am currently looking to go back for another Master's related to Nursing education or to work on my Ph.D"

"I love my program because we are ranked as one of the top most efficient law schools. This means that the faculty to student ratio is wonderful and the programs on career counseling, networking, and preparing for life after school are rewarding. Most of our graduates are able to obtain a job right after graduation. However, I do believe that the campus is lacking. Our campus security isn't exactly up to par and many of the safety features on campus are outdated or not working. Nonetheless, I do not feel that this reflects poorly on my program, but the campus in general. Overall, I feel that the faculty, the camaraderie of the student body, and the network of attorneys and judges available to students greatly overshadows any negative aspects of the program, such as financial aid offers."

"The program is highly aspirational; there is a strong sense of upward movement. The energy of the program is thus very exciting and challenging. However, there are skill areas for it to develops - such as a greater diversity (and nuance) of specializations, networking opportunities, and job assistance."

"The Kent school is supportive, However Jobs around this area is scarce due to the large graduating students at surrounding universities."

"It is only my first semester, but I feel that the sociology program at the University of Louisville was very welcoming, even during the admissions process. I felt at home with the department and the other students and they were very helpful when I was searching for funding. The professors are very personable and approachable and because the department hosts a get together every 6 weeks, I have had the chance to get to know the faculty outside of the academic setting and I believe this has strengthened our relationship."

"I think this is an excellent program, with far more rigorous, diverse, and engaging coursework than one might expect from what's technically an Interdisciplinary Humanities MA."

"As a whole the graduate program provides a supportive and exceptional experience. The quality of life for students is far above average. The con that has surfaced over the past 3.5 years is that the bottom line for student satisfaction is very dependent on their advising professor. The department as a whole does not have enough influence if the professor does not maintain the same level of standards. Students can avoid this issue by choosing a professor that others recommend. If problems arise early enough the department can relocate the student, but in the later stages there was not a viable resolution for continuing to pursue the degree."

"I actually enjoy the program a lot! The faculty is very supportive and willing to impart knowledge. There's also a lot of culture and charm in Louisville. My department encourages us to enjoy the city while keeping up with our academic obligations. All in all i'm pleased so far..."

"The faculty are fantastic and do not mind dropping by without notice. The ecology program is very diverse and offers specialty in evolutionary medicine with Dr. Paul Ewald. All graduate students do not get funding, though. Masters students never receive funding through the department."
