"Terrible this is my second university. I had two classes to finish at my other university when I had to up root my family. There are no advisors to help with uww as far as getting a clear to sign up for classes and it's not straight forward. You want know what classes you need to sign up for or what number to put in to have it signed up if you have not used the system. Expect someone to over talk you tell you that you dont need help dispite never using their complicated online system and to be hung up on. They are very rude the receptionist mispronounced my name at least 5 times completely different and was completely confused by my simple requests. It's been the oddest experience I've never had just trying to get my classes put in for next semester. I'm contemplating leaving the college."

"Fantastic experience. I can't say enough good things about this program and the faculty. Administration could be slow at times but I was always able to get any issue taken care of in the end. Faculty was very supportive and very knowledgeable. One professor who taught an entrepreneurship class was really great. The commitment that UMass has made to education and access has really paid off in my opinion. This is the best value for a highly regarded university I know of. The great reputation and great reviews are spot on. Would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"UMass Amherst was an amazing experience. I obtained my degree online, but I never felt like I was cheated at all out of a great education. I feel like I received an amazing education and was supported all the way to the end. There was always someone there to help me either over the phone or through email. The teachers and other students were wonderful to work with and I feel the education that I received has prepared me for my journey through grad school and gave me the tools that I need to be successful."

"UMASS is consistently ranked around 75th, which I accepted for their MPH program even though I was more accustomed to much more highly ranked schools. My experience was the quality was extremely low, certainly the lowest that I've encountered in 20 years of higher education. First, the positives, the program chairperson was an unusually kind and thoughtful man; however, it appeared he had created neither quality nor consistency standards for the other instructors nor reviewed their work or qualifications. Half of my instructors were academically well qualified but either completely disinterested in teaching, incompetent at teaching or both. The courses were designed and delivered in ways that were completely inconsistent with graduate education in anyone of half-a-dozen other schools where I've completed classes or worked. The staff member managing the program when I was there had never been to a school other than UMASS (a large public state university) but claimed her courses were the same quality as the Ivy Leagues. Having studied at numerous Ivy Leagues, this statement and perception was extraordinarily incorrect and ill-informed. They were allergic to feedback, extremely defensive, unprofessional, and rude. Moreover, looking around online at the various sites that allow students to rate their professors with specific scoring rubrics and explanations, it appears no one at UMASS ever checked these before hiring their instructors because some of those UMASS has even put into leadership positions have specific, factual, horrific reviews over years -- one case an instructor leading one program has ONLY ever received negative reviews. I don't know how competitive UMASS was to get into; however, my feedback would be that until the whole curricula, personnel, and pedagogy is over-hauled and organized, I would only attend UMASS if you have no other choice."

"Wonderful experience. Professors were well organized and very easy to get a hold of. Graduate programs staff were very helpful and willing to assist in every way possible. Would recommend this school, hands down as the best Graduate/OnLine experience."
