It is a largely satellite campus that is rapidly growing. Many of the departments have fantastic faculty. It is a diverse campus with progressive policies.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2017

While the faculty are helpful, the classes are reiterating what was taught in the book. Some discussion happens within classes, but students are not very engaged by the discussion. The practicum site is at the school, however I would not recommend it as supervisors look to confirm what was learned about the student in class. This could go in favor of the student, or against.

The program has a lot to offer; highly rated professors, great location and facilities. The only downside is the steep cost of tuition.

Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2017

There are very few cons about the JD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. As for the pros - the professors are extremely dedicated to the success of the students and strive to make themselves available to the students when help is needed. The Career Services Office is also very helpful and hardworking. They constantly send out updates of job openings and internship availability. One of the cons about the law program, as with any law program, is the cost. Federal loans help cover the cost for the time being, but once I graduate I will face a large amount of loans that will need to be repaid. I really appreciate organizations such as this one that try to help students cover some of the cost of their education.

Degree: Pharmacy
Graduation Year: 2019

I am blessed to be admitted into UMKC School of Pharmacy class of 2019. It is going o be a hard program, i am station at the satellite site in Columbia, Mo so the learning experience will be a whole new ball game. Pros- the teachers care, small class size and alot of opportunities to practice material. Cons- out of state, new area, video teaching instead of classroom-based teaching

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2017

The Executive option for the MPA program is an excellent alternative for working professionals. The cohort model is tailored to student's life and level of career experience. I am very happy with this program and look forward to the career results it will bring.
