"The University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou) is an excellent institution for all Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) majors. As a young woman who will be beginning medical school this summer, I feel as though Mizzou fully prepared me for my studies in a professional program. I had incredible advising and research opportunities. I felt like I could explore tremendously--even within my own field of biology. I had support to choose whichever career I felt I could most make a difference in. At the same time, I felt like my courses were challenging but not impossible. I had great professors--many of whom have remained friends of mine. Choose Mizzou!"

"The Specialist's Program at Mizzou has been great as a working professional. The professors are very knowledge and help prepare you for a central office position. The classes are hybrid style, where some of the class is online, and the rest is in person. I am glad I made the decision to start this program."

"The music program is booming at Mizzou! The professors have excellent depths of knowledge and experience. The School of Music is a nice smaller community to become active within, compared to the thousands of students attending campus. Columbia, MO is a beautiful little college town to boot!"

"The Communication program at the University of Missouri has many great aspects to it. Although the school prides itself on its Journalism program (which is separate from Communication), I often felt as if I was being furnished with more practical skills that would prove useful in several fields, allowing more flexibility with my degree. This flexibility, I believe, has contributed to my graduate school readiness."

This school gives you lots of opportunities to get involved and grow as a individual. Mizzou also has granted me a scholarship to help pay for tuition. "There were resources at the University of Missouri. My advice for future students is to use all of your resources. When there is an opportunity to network go for it. Try to be involved with as many organizations as you can handle. The University of Missouri had an organization for every major which was really helpful."

"I loved attending the University of Missouri-Columbia! Columbia is a great town with an awesome atmosphere. There is a lot of things to do while not in class. Mizzou has a great campus climate and there always seems to be some sort of activity you can join into on campus. There are also a lot of on campus services ranging from free help finding a job to tutoring. The professors are great and they are always available for extra help."

"As a minority student at the University of Missouri coming from the east coast I was provided an opportunity to interact with a majority population. This experience was different than any I had experienced to date. I think students need to experience other cultures while studying so that they will have some sense of the diversity this great country offers. Having such an experience would provide students an understanding of cultures they otherwise may have never had an opportunity to personally experience."
