Student & Graduate Reviews

4.17 out of 5.0
Degree: Higher Education
Graduation Year: 2014

The graduate program at UNLV in the field of Higher Education is excellent! The instructors are experts in the field and truly dedicated to facilitating growth intellectually and personally. One con would be that the program was restructured a few years ago , so the program is in a rebuilding phase.

UNLV's Experimental Psychology program is challenging and fulfilling. The department is full of helpful and supportive faculty.

I love the faculty here at UNLV, they are always available to help with questions, with research, with thesis, etc. They also provide many opportunities for every student to get involved and take control of their own learning process. I have enjoyed my time here as a student

Very comprehensive program with excellent professors. Cons, not all the classes I would like to take fill up and therefore, are not offered.

Degree: Performing Arts
Graduation Year: 2016

I went on a campus tour with our professor N. B. and it was wonderful. The campus offers a lot for us. A great workout physicality, a huge student union with good food, and game rooms. We also will be sharing a floor with the film department. The film students will need us, among other actors for their scenes in classes and some of their outside work. Many film students get the opportunity to travel to Sundance. We work out of three Theatre's that they will give us access cards and keys to. We are across the hall from the dance studios and upstairs is our music classes. This campus is amazing and we will not be bored.

It seemed a bit easier than should be expected. Don't get me wrong, some classes were quite hard, but some of the classes just felt like a complete waste of my time and money.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2017

There are more pros than cons about my graduate program. For one, the staff tries to be as helpful as possible. Overall, I am simply thankful to have begun graduate school.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros of my graduate program are as follows: it is in the city I live in, I work at the closest hospital to the university in Las Vegas, NV., access to the program will be available online to include distance education, the program is very competitive during the admission process, the program only grants admission to students once per year, the program has ranked 18 out of 101 nursing programs in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report (Jan 17, 2013). Staff were very quick with answering questions and assisting me with the admission process. The cons of my program include: the cost of 40000-50000 over the course of the next 2 years, the cost will possibly cause me to work part-time to pay for school costs,
