"My only issue with the program is funding. The department does not receive enough funding for students to live comfortably without taking out loans, but the quality of the program more than makes up for it. I knew going in that finances would be difficult, but the education I am receiving here is absolutely top-notch."

"Very good program, not as competitive add it appeared during my interview. Focuses heavily on professional development and job placement. Great two year program."

"My experience at UNC Kenan-Flagler has been tremendous. The people here have been terrific. Exceptionally smart students without big egos. Accessible and outgoing professors excited about working with students. Engaged and enthusiastic faculty and staff. The cost of my degree has been very reasonable, and I am very pleased with the cost of living here compared to other major metropolitan areas. Chapel Hill has a great community, which is safe, fun, and filled with a network that is strong as I've ever seen. I am thrilled with my decision to pursue a full-time MBA here and feel that I will leave with the tools and skill necessary to be very successful in the future."

"My graduate program is quite small and does not have as many networking, job opportunities as I had hoped. However, I really like the program and the professors."

"When applying to this school I was attracted by their rating as one of the top programs in the country. I understand this to be because we have really impressive professors with extensive research backgrounds and who are still making amazing discoveries in the field. However, I had high expectations that a high rating would also mean that we'd receive lots of extra attention outside of coursework to help us prepare for the professional field. What I found was that level of instruction was dependent on instructor availability when signing up for classes. Placement services were not the best either because there was very little freedom for student input towards their preferences. Most of all, there wasn't much guidance on selecting concentrations. For all of those reasons I wouldn't recommend this social work program to others. Compared to my undergraduate experience it was definitely failing on several levels. I'm still finding it very hard to find employment even with my new credentials."

"Everyone in the MPA program is extremely welcoming and easy to talk to which made the transition from a small program during my undergrad career into this grad program a lot smoother. The administration is very easy to access and they do everything they can to help support current students and also to provide a strong network to help students when they graduate."

"I really love it here at UNCSOM. I think we have a lot of great things as an institution, and we are making strides to increase diversity. As far a transportation, the bus system is great but the parking situation is difficult and there is always construction going on but that and the cost of living are very much Chapel Hill. While there are some really affordable places around Chapel Hill is a college town and I think so places take advantage of that and the cheaper places usually are always occupied. But with that said housing is easy to come by, just be ok to pay for living with some amenities. Coming here for medical school was one of the best decisions I've ever made."

"I think the major bonus of obtaining a PharmD from UNC-Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy is the immense amount of collaboration between the different health colleges at the university. All of the health graduate programs are all clustered in one area and are proximal to the large medical center. Therefore, collaboration and interdisciplinary medicine is a huge part of the graduate education program. However, the school of pharmacy does not offer a dual PharmD/PhD degree."

"The Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill provides a world-class education. The school's greatest strengths are its top-rated faculty, its extensive and engaged alumni network, and the collaborative culture it fosters among the student body. As the school seeks to drive continuous improvement, it should focus on improving diversity, specifically in its recruitment of women and minorities."

"Excellent support from the faculty. Also if you're able to live off a busline, the free buses are excellent. The housing can be expensive if you prefer to live alone, roommates are a better choice."
