The clinical psychology program is fully funded and very strong. The work is rigorous but the support of the staff and faculty is immense! The surround area is fantastic and very affordable.

I think the UNC Clinical Psychology program is excellent because its training strategy focuses on research, clinical work, and teaching. Depending on your interests, you can tailor your training to get more of a certain experience that will ultimately better prepare you for your career goals. The students in the program are all very smart, but there is no competition among them; it is a very warm and collaborative environment. In addition, the faculty are very productive, but enjoy their role as mentors and are very open to collaboration with students. Lastly, UNC-CH is situated in the research triangle, with Durham and Raleigh not too far away. There are plenty of students in grad school and young professionals in the area to make new friends or for dating. Overall, it is an excellent program!
