Student & Graduate Reviews

3.6 out of 5.0
Degree: Education Administration
Graduation Year: 2017

The program is in need of tweaking to meet all expectations. A few true educational leaders serve as professors and several on the downside of their careers. The cohort model is beneficial, the campus is a highlight, and the workload is manageable. The rigor was less than expected in some courses and often seemed task oriented. If you can harness the energy to ask the questions that are meaningful and have classmates who will engage, you will enjoy 85% of your time. The other 15% is like a trip to the dentist.

I am very impressed with the Master of Urban Design program at UNC Charlotte. The faculty is very dedicated, educated and well connected, and the program is versatile and well developed. I am less impressed with the greater college of UNC Charlotte

I recommend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for the quality of its instructors. All the instructors we have teach not only what the books say but also they relate real life examples along with their personal experiences to make classes both enjoyable and beneficial.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2017

My college is an interesting one. I believe the college has great potential in that it hires excellent staff and faculty. Although, I would like to see more staff and faculty from all over the nation and with working backgrounds to give students real world knowledge and experience. I would however enjoy school more if some of the attention were focused on the graduate students. Graduate students are the bread and butter of the school, they determine how good the school is by what type of employment students get upon graduating. I feel vitally ignored as a lot of services for student success is offered during the day even though I am only allowed to take courses in the evenings. If graduate students are working during the day and then attending classes at night they cannot take advantage of services that the school offers simply because it is not available to them.
