"The program is short and tuition is relative cheap for business programs. The curriculum is designed practically for future career. The center city building is located in downtown where there are a lot of big companies, such as BOA, Duke Energy and Wells Fargo. Therefore, it's a big advantage for job hunting. Basically I would say this is a very economic program in US"

"I like that the work load is not overbearing. My teachers have been fair graders and will always help you with an assignment if you ask. Sometimes I wonder if I would be getting a better education at a more prestigious school."

"UNCC is an okay school. It has some problems and they could do more to fix them. On campus housing for grad students is a joke though, most of us live off campus and for a good reason."

"I am enjoying my time here and feel like I am getting a good education and receiving enough support, though you do need to take initiative to seek out and utilize the resources available to you and get involved (but I think that's the case almost everywhere). Depending on your department, it may or may not be easy to make friends and find accessible faculty members. My classes are pretty diverse in terms of age, academic backgrounds, race/ethnicity, and nationality, much more so than the undergraduate courses I think. I don't eat on campus often and I have never experienced campus housing so I can't really judge that. Charlotte is great but expect to buy a car if you want to explore the city."

"Since I am a graduate student, I could not make a judgment on the school housing and dining services. What I can say is that I love the surrounding area. Charlotte is a lovely city to be in. The student diversity is one of the university's best features and they regularly have events and festivals to meet with students from other cultures. As for social events, I've always had something to do at the university during the week."

"UNCC is a great school with two amazing locations. I attend the uptown location, which offers a wide variety of things to do in the city and plenty of social groups to help maximize your time in school. UNCC supports their students networking to further their career goals, this aspect is paramount when graduating and knowing who to talk to and what jobs exist within the market. I recommend UNCC to anyone, especially to someone that is proactive and enjoys diversification in their day to day. UNCC is an exceptional choice for someone looking to graduate with a solid education, great friends and established career network."

"Very hit or miss. Sometimes you get a wonderful professor, but usually you get one who doesn't know what they are doing, or is way too demanding. You should be challenged in grad school, but not butchered. Classes are also usually set up to be very long. I have two three hour lecture classes this semester, and it is un-Godly awful. The classes required for a graduate degree in the sciences are also not useful and not pertinent, but take up all your time and just extend how long it will take for you to graduate. They will also cancel classes on you with no warning if a certain amount of students don't sign up, which throws off your curriculum plan and you have to find an alternative that doesn't match anything close to your career path. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the class selection and classroom experience, but I have a wonderful PI and mentor, and that makes it worthwhile to suffer through the two years of useless classes."
