"It has a beautiful campus and great educators. There's not much to do in town, but the sports programs will keep you busy."

"The University of Oklahoma's programs for voice and opera have helped me greatly in my pursuit of a career in the operatic field. The Teachers, coaches, directors, and conductors have helped immensely with my growth as a person, student, and performer. The classes are hands-on, and in-depth, providing much needed support and foundation for this career. I highly recommend the University of Okahoma"

"I absolutely loved my experience at OU! The campus is beautiful, and clean. The professors ( for the most part) are wonderful and truly have a passion for what they do and care about their students. They do a good job at having things to do on campus when the weather is nice or especially during finals time they find things to try and give you a break. And of course there is nothing like some Sooner football! My biggest issue was every semester I was there it seemed the tuition price always went up, or some other random fee was added on, plus on top of that the price for books is CRAZY"

"The University of Oklahoma was a fine choice for me. I wanted to stay in my home state for lower tuition. The University of Oklahoma also offered me excellent scholarships. I would say that my general education classes were average, but I was very happy with the quality of my major and minor courses."

"As a music composition student in the Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts, I received one-on-one instruction from professors who became my friends and mentors. Although the curriculum is largely traditional, my professors made room for me to branch out and study modern genres and find ways to combine my social justice and human relations minors with my major study."

"OU is a great university! It's a big school with a "small town" feeling. Teachers provide one-on-one opportunities and various styles of teaching the curriculum. There are lots of opportunities to get involved, learn about other cultures, and be a part of something bigger than yourself! Football is great too :) BOOMER SOONER!"

"The program is going through an amazing transformation stemming from previous, questionable leadership. Under the guidance of new leaders and an ever increasing amazing staff, the program is getting stronger and stronger. Now, through tragedy, the college has an amazing new leader, who promises to build on the momentum of our previous. The program is poised to become an amazing location for design education. Being able to have real input (as a student) as to the direction the college will take is a unique opportunity not afforded to students to other programs. Although we are still correct issues that have caused enrollment numbers to be low, we are fast improving what will soon be a great program. Being a part of that change while in an environment of amazing and understanding professors and leaders is unique to this school."

"Pros: Decent and diverse graduate courses available each semester. Helpful instructors in and out of the classroom ready to answer your question and encouraging curiosity. Cons: The structural engineering program is a bit weak as there are only four faculty in this area with very limited funding and not many TA positions available."

"I enjoyed my time as both undergraduate and graduate student of OU. Most of all, I enjoyed speaking to my professors about my projects. My most memorable, and most helpful, encounter with a professor was on in which the professor told me how I actually write as opposed to how I should write. He told me that I write too poetically and that I should write in a way that is simple, easy to understand - almost journalistic. It had not occurred to me, until that moment during my graduate studies, that I had a habit of being esoteric in my writing. I cannot say that I have totally changed my writing habits, by that professor's forthright comments helped me to be successful for the rest of my time as a graduate student. I highly recommend OU if you are planning to pursue a graduate degree."

"I had a phenomenal experience. I was pre med and OU had great resources to help get me into medical school. I did on my first try and am now at one of the top programs in the country. Student life was great with lots of activities. Sporting events were out of this world."

"It's a well-rounded school that offers a lot of opportunity, dozens of great organizations, helpful and talented professors, and seems to always be trying to better itself. Its journalism/advertising program is great, however, I would have preferred more options for those going into the creative side of advertising."

"I think the School of Drama provides excellent opportunity for broad-based, theatrically-focused learning. It is a great program in the first step towards a career in academia. Unfortunately, much of the faculty are not interested in really giving the students a true leg up in regard to finding employment post-graduation. It also from the outset makes it abundantly clear that the graduate students are by no means a priority to any of the faculty, which is a massive deterrent. I think this is a program that is, in that regard, seriously out-of-touch."

"It's not so much about the school but how you apply yourself. You could leave with your degree and not learn anything or you can leave with your degree and have some knowledge. Keep in mind only some of this knowledge will be helpful in the job market. A degree does not mean you are handed a job right out of school. Good luck, it's tough out there."

"The University of Oklahoma offered the chance to study in a nice-sized environment (30,000 students, not too big and not too small), and offered many programs and courses. The campus is full of historic buildings as well as faculty that are active in research as well as teaching. I feel it was an excellent value for the cost of attendance, and I greatly enjoyed my time there."

"This program is extremely competitive and difficult for students with families. I have learned more form this program than I ever thought possible and I love being a part of the program. I am excited to learn from such knowledgeable professors and after every class feel much more competent to enter a clinical therapeutic setting. I have met people that I will remain in contact with throughout our experience and I can utilize this network to benefit my clients. I live in a rural area, about an hour away from my school and that makes it difficult at times and I have to take the full amount of loans out to continue my education."
