"University of Pittsburgh of Dental Medicine is a great school! I love it here and feel that I am getting a great education. The school really prepares you for the clinical side of dentistry, in our first year we already start seeing patients. The program is rigorous, challenging, but very rewarding! The building and equipment is constantly being updated and renovated. A lot of the professors are real dentists, this is a great way to learn! I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else but Pittsburgh Dental!"

"The pros or Pittsburgh's Master of Social Work program greatly outweigh the cons. I am gaining valuable knowledge from personable, experienced, professors, who have much in site into the field. At my field placement, I am applying what I learn in the classroom to real life situations. I will be highly prepared in the Social Work field upon graduation. The only con, as with any program, is cost. Being a poor college student is something I have had to live with for awhile now and wish there was more financial help for graduate students like me."

"The Rehabilitation Counseling Program at the University of Pittsburgh is a fantastic environment for learning. The professors are top noch, and take the time to help when help is needed. Classes are full of in depth discussion, as dialogue is not only encouraged but expected! Not only is the content of the program's rich and directly applicable to the field, but the class members themselves are diverse. This program, and the department as a whole, is made up of a multitude of uniqueindividuals with different ethnicities, ability levels, and ideas. This truely makes the RC program on of a kind. In terms of "cons" I might say that the location of the Univeristy is always congested in terms of driving. I am a commuter, so that is my only downfall for the program thus far!"

"Living in Pittsburgh is great. There is lots of public transportation to many places to eat, shop, and hangout. I'd say there is a lot of culture here as well. It's a safe city, besides being a walking campus and crossing lots of streets. The Occupational Therapy program that I am in is #6 in the country- so it is competitive. I do not receive any financial aid, and there doesn't seem to be much out there. The professors are highly regarded, unfortunately it seems like there is a moderate lack of support for students."

"At GSPIA, students are provided with an incredible amount of resources. Besides normal class periods, nearly every day, a guest speaker gives a lecture for a student organization or center (i.e. Urban Studies Center, African Studies Center, Ford Institute for Human Security...) Pittsburgh is an affordable city with lots to offer for students, especially those studying management in Public Administration or Non-Profits. GSPIA helps students connect to internships throughout the city and abroad through many organizational and alumni connections. The workload is heavy, but you will learn so much if you take advantage of your time there."

"Pitt is an excellent graduate program for social work. It is rated 11th in the country. The faculty works very hard to prepare you for a career in the social work profession. The opportunities that I have experienced have been both good and bad. The graduate program graduates many fine social workers who reside in the area. It has definitely caused an over saturation of the job opportunities in the immediate area."

"The Full Time MBA Program at the University of Pittsburgh - Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of business provides the best value for money in an MBA program: affordable tuition, best-in-class education and great return of investment. The approach is experience-based where most of the classes are strongly inter-related with consulting experiences among local and national corporation. Global exposure can come through the Global Business Project where students can get professional experience in Latin America as well as in Asia. Additionally, the cultural environment is competitive, yet very collaborative."

"The program is great, and I am learning so much that I am bringing directly into my work as a part-time student still working a full-time job. I wish there wasn't such a separation between full-time and part-time students though."

"I'm in the Psychology in Education, Research Methodology program. This program is half statistics, half measurement, so definitely more technical than many education of psychology programs; in fact it is so closely related to statistics that our students often take courses in the Statistics department and some of our faculties identify themselves as statisticians. However, measurement is also an important aspect; so we are also trained to perform as psychometricians. I enjoy this program very much!"

"GSPIA is a competitive program in a great location. Both faculty and students have served in the governments and non-profit sectors of countries throughout the world, weaving a terrific network of alums. There are not many scholarships available through the school, but the University's Certificate programs are a great resource academically and financially."

"Having attended Pitt for undergrad, I was already in love with Pittsburgh and did not want to leave, so I chose the MSW program at Pitt. However, that's not the only reason why! The faculty are welcoming and supportive and offer a welcoming professional network. The classes are generally challenging, but not too much so. All MSW students are supported with a Stafford Loan to cover tuition and fees, so I just had to obtain support for my cost of living. The campus and the city in general is safe, and there is plenty to do! Between professional sports teams, museums, an active theater scene, concert venues, and a plethora of restaurants & bars, you will never be bored. Public transportation leaves something to be desired, however the cost of living is low so I find it no trouble to afford a car."

"Pitt is rated as one of the best social work programs in the nation. They have a very good internship program and the professors know their stuff. There are a number of international students there so there is a good amount of diversity. Unfortunately, it is expensive for a state school."
