"I think my rating accurately reflects the program. It is an expensive endeavor to attend Law School but Univ of Pitt uses resources to the fullest to support it's students and faculty."

"The professors are very engaged and available. Most of the courses are very interesting and helpful, but like every school, some of the course need to be reworked. Living expenses and transportation are very good in the city."

"The graduate program has wonderful access to a variety of courses across graduate programs within the University of Pittsburgh and allows flexibility with electives. Enrollment officers and academic advisers are very supportive and eager to help facilitate students in achieving their goals. One thing that can be improved upon is the introduction of new students to the services offered by the graduate program and the University as a whole."

"The pros of the graduate program is being able to learn from faculty with real world experience. The cons of the program is that it is a very large university and it is difficult to learn the system."

"The school is very committed to its students and is equipped with excellent facilities and smart classrooms. However, many students are quite young, so naturally the network opportunities are less advanced. If you have work experience, you will be at an advantage for scholarship funding."

"The program is newly created so it may have some bugs to work out. The university is well established so it has a good name and will be a place I will be proud to say I graduated from."

"Katz part-time MBA program is great. Everyone in the program works full-time and takes classes at night. The faculty are very empathetic to working students and make accommodations for students who need to miss class due to work or family. They set you up to do a lot of group work which was annoying at first, but it is really helpful when you are busy with your life and job. The staff provides ample opportunities to have access to top employers recruiting MBA's. They also have many networking opportunities among the students. Both faculty and staff are very approachable. I would definitely recommend this program!"

"The Joseph Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh offers high value MBA programs. I am currently enrolled in the two-year FT MBA program and I couldn't be happier with my experience at Katz for a variety of reasons. Despite the relatively small class size of approximately 100 students, Katz offers multiple opportunities for students to connect with employers through networking events, case competitions, career conferences, guest speaker events, and professional development workshops on campus. There is always an event taking place on campus every week. Katz is also an amazing place for women to complete their MBA's. The women's organization on campus, MBA Women International, offers a strong network of women in business locally and internationally. The program promotes a supportive environment for women through this organization, by openly discussing gender issues in the workplace and encouraging women to pursue high level leadership positions. Lastly, Katz offers MBA students a variety of opportunities to work with company's globally by helping the clients solve real businesses issues. Katz incorporates these consulting field projects into the curriculum which allows students to apply their academic knowledge to these projects. My personal experience with the consulting field projects allowed me to work with a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer looking for the most cost effective way to increase their sales in Brazil. The project led me to Brazil to explore options to set up a manufacturing facility there. I also went to India for another consulting project and worked with a multi-national paint company on a profitability improvement project. In addition to the global consulting projects available, almost half of the MBA students are international which brings an interesting perspective to the classroom. The global exposure students get from the program is a necessity in today's business environment. Overall, I've only completed one year of the program and have already gained so much experience. Katz already helped me line up a leadership development position for when I graduate in 2013 with a large, multi-national company. I would highly recommend the Katz FT MBA for people looking to further their education while gaining real-world experience in a supportive environment."

"The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine constantly strives to provide its students with a multitude of support systems and academic resources to help us succeed in our studies. There are ample research opportunities to give us the experience and skills necessary to become clinical researchers that can better scientific understanding of the human body. However, the lack of integration of the computer and other high tech platforms/interface makes test taking and studying format less engaging."

"Variety of programs mixed together, diversity of student population, and good cost of living. Out of state tuition is high, few scholarships, some of the courses are not as good as they could be."

"Lots of opportunities here, a big school, great financial aid package with stipend for all students, and great health insurance through UPMC. Some of the professors are fantastic, others are okay. Lots of research going on for grad students to get into, and lots of funding.."
