"The Masters in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) program was really disappointing. The program felt thrown together with syllabuses that we’re inconsistent and focused more on meeting the minimum accreditation requirements instead of the learning and development of students. Half of the professors had no real-world business knowledge/experience and were there reluctantly because the school couldn’t find anyone else to teach - it came across to the students. As a graduating student of the MSOL, I am regretful of my choice to have gone here."

"I had a unique, rewarding, and challenging four years at University of Redlands. The environmental studies department (EVST) was everything I was looking for, knowing that I would end up studying within the environmental field. The teachers in EVST genuinely care about their students, which I believe is largely due to the personal experiences I was a part of in my major. There were many field trips both on and off campus, and countless events to attend with other EVST students. I felt like my voice was heard in classes and being in a department full of other passionate students fighting for environmental justice was inspiring. As a four-year athlete, I felt like my time at Redlands was maximized, where I was consistently balancing school, extracurricular events, my work study job, and other complexities college often brings without warning. The one frequent complaint I have heard from other students is that the school is very small, and so is the town of Redlands. I personally believe that by getting out and exploring more areas of the Inland Empire and California as a whole, I was able to avoid feeling claustrophobic or burnt out. From Redlands, I appreciated the environment where teachers knew my name and when something was wrong, the travel experience from various labs, a sports team that quickly became my family, and an environmental program that pushed me to ask for help and explore topics and issues that were important to me."

"Big mistake. As a working professional, completing a Master's degree at the University of Redlands was a mistake. If I could do it again, I would have spent more money for a better program, such as Pepperdine, Claremont Business College, or a number of other programs offered in Southern California. Of the ten professors I had, one was great, three were okay, and the rest were underqualified (both in their work experience and education) and were average teachers at their best. Many of the faculty are pro socialsim, preach "white privilege", are anti capitalism, and were bitter messes set on indoctinating the class with their belief systems and opposed to contrary thinking. If you're serious about your career, pay a little more for a better school. (A tip, a successful workplace is one that promotes people of different backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions to work together with respect. The Redlands staff could learn from that.)"

"University of Redlands provided me with long lasting connections with not only peers but professors as well with its 14:1 student to staff ratio. I wasn't just a number in a crowd of students, but was listened to and pushed to my fullest potential with the amazing staff from the biology department. They encouraged me through tutoring and office hours to reach my goal to become an occupational therapist. My school provided me with life skills and morals I will continue to use and live by the rest of my life. Walking down Colton Ave. in the middle of campus will be a memory I will always have instilled in my mind."

"Attending the University of Redlands was a wonderful choice for me. The professors were passionate, consistently available, and I was challenged and enjoyed most (if not all) of my classes. The student body was welcoming, and there were extracurricular activities directly related to the career I wanted. The chance to combine hands-on experience from student clubs and volunteer groups strengthened my degree tremendously, and I graduated with an excellent resume. I'd recommend Redlands to any student, with the strong suggestion that they talk to academic departments and tour specific programs while visiting."

"University of Redlands offers a variety of programs geared towards the working full time adult. As a former Marine I understood full well what was expected of me academically and the work that it would take to achieve my goal. Working full time and being a full time student is one of the most difficult tasks anyone can undertake. But, the instructors were always supportive, professional, and insightful. I enjoyed everyday that I attended class (even if I had just finished work). It was fantastic interacting with the students, staff, and learning something that would help me improve my life. I would wholeheartedly support anyone who would choose to attend the University of Redlands. I am currently working towards my Doctorate degree in criminal justice and Redlands has without a doubt prepared me for the academic work that I must do now. I am constantly reading, writing, and researching new material in order to complete all the material that is required of me. However, because Redlands prepared me academically, I do not feel overwhelmed or feel that it is something that I can not complete. In fact, I believe that I can complete my Doctorate so long as I remain consistent and committed to the material."

"Most of your learning will happen in the work place after showing up day after day, month after month until you gain a foothold or increased expertise in your chosen field. Once in the working world, there is a language of work unto itself that just can't be taught in school. However, the University of Redlands (and college in general) is a fantastic place to meet others pursuing the same career path, better understand the industry you're entering, build projects for your resume, and get your foot into the door for internships at companies you're interested in. The school's proximity to LA, Orange County, and San Diego make it an ideal school for those interested in working in those locations after college. A potential downside of the school is its size. It's a beautiful campus at times feels like a high school with fewer rules. However, the town grew on me over time and met people I will keep in touch with forever."

"University of Redlands is a tight-knit community that inspires students to creatively think and pursue individual interests, including studying abroad and learning a new language. All professors at Redlands are very open at all times to student questions and concerns, whether that be about the class or the future, and class sizes are very limited making it a more intimate and dynamic setting for students to question and learn. The drawbacks to studying at U of R are the diversity, networking, and overall city, however, Redlands is actively working on it. Most students are from the west coast, and as such the diversity at the school is limited. One of the great things that Redlands does is push studying abroad to meet different people around the world, as well as advertise heavily for international students to go to our school. Unfortunately given the size of the school, we don't have large-scale career fairs with top 100 employers coming out to run a booth. Because the school is so tightly-knit, all departments keep up with the alumni and connect students with them for more job opportunities. The city of Redlands is very quaint, and a little limited to a movie theater, Target, and some good pizza and Thai restaurants down town. We do have Hangar 18 though, which is an incredible brewery in the city. If you have a car, you are 40 minutes from the beach, downtown LA, and an hour away from the snow. Overall, Redlands is a fantastic school that facilitates and offers many opportunities for personal growth. Further, through financial aid, it is a very reasonably priced school to go to. I recommend students to consider Redlands if they are looking for a school that provides small class sizes, 24/7 access to professors, and a tightly knit community."

"I highly recommend the Salzburg Semester study abroad program. Not only was I able to visit 13 countries in 16 weeks, I was also able to learn from and interact with locals through our customized trips. I also learned essential life skills such as how to budget my money, be respectful of other people's cultures and indifferences, plan my schedule, and be responsible when traveling alone, among others. I could not be any more grateful to the Department of Mathematics faculty. I came in as a transfer student from another country. I appreciate how they welcomed me and guided me throughout my transition to the university. They were supportive and encouraging until the very end."

"University of Redlands is a private educational institute that delivers on its name and association with being a private university. The classes are very small roughly 15 people in my class and the professor is always available providing their work email, university email, and cell phone number to directly contact them whenever we have any sort of question. The faculty all have a great breath and depth of experience in the subject matter they are teaching. There are professors that teach around the world, work with are Fortune 500 firms on a daily basis for consulting, others whom have helped create and operated complete branches of a Big Four accounting firm and much much more. The student life is also very vibrant with events happening almost daily to ether raise awareness, fundraise, network, or simply to enjoy some live entertainment provided by the student body. The University of Redlands campus being so small allows an individual to really get to know all others on campus because everyone is so open to new experiences and meeting new people. Without a doubt in my mind you should at least take a tour of the University of Redlands and you'll see why students love the campus and experience so much!"

"I was in the adult program which was one night a week for four hours. It was really nice to be able to continue to work full time and go to school at night. It was only a 2 year program which was also nice. Your classes are guaranteed and you do not have to fight for enrollments."

"The biology program at the University of Redlands is truly one-of-a-kind. The professors there are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and supportive of all of their students in any endeavor. We received hands learning in our first classes. Small class sizes mean that professors have more time to decide to each student, and each student receives more hands on experiences. The professors come they're to track and research is secondary, which means students and classes are the top priority, not a means to an end of being able to do research. All-in-all, I believe the Biology program at the University of Redlands is second-to-none."

"I feel the pros of my program is I get to finish faster, and it's a better suit for me than other colleges. However, my cons are that financial assistance could be more than just student loans, and they closed down the campus that was closer to me, so I have to commute 40+ miles."

"Professors are readily available to meet with students. Class size is very small so you get to know your peers very well. Not a very well known graduate program so does not hold as much value as other bigger names."

"Nearly everything in my program can be considered a "pro." The one area that I struggled with was workload. I knew going into the program, especially a doc program, that the work would be demanding. I struggled to keep up because I didn't have the support I needed at home. I'm happy to say I'm in my third (and hopefully final) year, which is the dissertation writing."

" The MBA program has an all-star set of instructors; these instructors have both experience and pedagogy acumen. Their anecdotal information adds a nice floss to a refined and current business program. Cons: The social scene is nearly dead. Most of the students in my classes have families and are career oriented. This is a double edge sword. On the plus side, there is networking and seriousness. On the downside, the comedic relief is loathsome. Only serious business minded folk need enroll, and Redlands does deliver the skills to pay the bills, and some."
