My graduate program was overall a wonderful experience. Class sizes were small and intimate and the campus was beautiful. All of my professors were very helpful and available when needed. I recommend the Master's program 100 times over!

Love it here. Doesn't seem to be as competitive as other schools as students are very friendly and helpful to each other.

I love taking my grad school program online. It offers me the flexibility to stay in my career and complete school on my own time in the evenings and weekends. USD, in particular, has an outstanding program in which staff are always responsive and available to the online students even though they are not on campus. USD provides rigorous academic work and quality education in a convenient online platform.

I believe that the lack of diversity at the University of San Diego is critical. It is known that the university is a private, religiously-affiliated school, but the lack of diversity that ensues is only detrimental to the faculty and student body. Diversity in backgrounds and ideas fosters new and innovative solutions to the problems in society. On the other hand, the faculty and staff at USD are professional and career-oriented, and are very helpful to students in terms of classroom help and help networking.

Degree: Law
Graduation Year: 2015

While law school is extremely difficult, USD has proven to be a great place to study. Although the overall grade reflects the law school experience in general, USD has provided me with an excellent legal education. The pros are the professors and the atmosphere, while the cons are the lack of staff to student outreach. For the amount we pay in tuition, I believe there should be more of an effort to ensure that students have jobs and are a positive position for success.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2015

The "pros" of the graduate program at USD is that it has a simulation lab with trained professionals in which testing is done to assess your professional skills as an NP. This gives the faculty a good idea of your ability in the clinical setting which is most important. Each faculty member is also still active in the clinical setting. I am a huge supporter of Catholic education for its quality. A "con" is that it is expensive, but as my motto goes quality costs more!

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2016

I appreciate that the faculty and staff at the Hahn School of Nursing take pride in their graduate students' educational and personal backgrounds. This program does not attempt to transform students into what they want, but rather build off of each individual to support their goals in becoming a successful Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Leader. The only con to this program is how expensive it is. I understand the investment I am making in myself, but the amount of money spent within this time frame can cause stress in an already challenging time in my life.

There are only two cons: (1)cost of room and board (2) traffic in the surrounding area. Both cons make the University of San Diego School of Law still a wonderful school. There is no campus in the world that is more beautiful. I am proud to attend the University of San Diego School of Law.

USD is a great program for working professionals looking to advance their career through education. The course offerings and intructors are fantastic. There are many opportunities to get involved, study aboard, and network with the San Diego business community. Some cons are that it is a small school so large firms do not come knocking on the door during recruiting season.
