The University of Utah provided, according to my research, the best education for your money. Other universities around the nation charged far more for a similar program rating.

The EAE is a great program. The professors all know what they are talking about and really want their students to succeed. The graduate schools administration is also wonderful. They are always willing to help answer questions or point you in the right direction.

Pros: 1) Great location due to the outdoor activities and the clean city. 2) My advisors are kind people who are genuinely interested in my success. 3) The student body is very diverse, including people from all over the world. Cons: 1) Funding has been an issue for me and others in my lab group.

Good program. I was not offered a fellowship or research assistantship, but I was able to get one after a lot of talking/networking with professors

Great place to be for both work/school and pleasure. The University of Utah is highly ranked for engineering and #1 for start-up companies, overtaking MIT two years ago. Salt lake city is also currently the fastest growing city with plenty of outdoor activities to do in the mountains less than 30 minutes away. Camping, hiking and skiing at some of the best resorts in North America are just a few of the great activities people do. A good education and great natural scenery are what make University of Utah such a wonderful place to attend.
