College was a great experience and an excellent opportunity to dive into a subject matter that you are interested in. I'd recommend taking a variety of classes in different subjects to get a good idea of what you gravitate towards and learn about other topics. I wish I wouldn't have been more afraid to step outside the box more.

I am a current graduate student at UW-Milwaukee and am working towards earning a Masters in Social Work and a Masters in Women's & Gender Studies. UWM has allowed me to pursue both of my degree interests through a coordinated program - a unique opportunity offered nowhere else in Wisconsin. UWM offers multiple opportunities for students to become engaged whether through student organizations, student government, campus events, on-campus work opportunities, or through assistantships (teaching, research, etc.). I have been fortunate enough to have received a teaching assistantship through one of my programs and am currently on my third semester teaching undergraduate students twice a week. UWM's campus is conveniently located within the city and embraces diversity and difference among its students.

The MPH program at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee has diverse coursework that allows students to tailor their courses to align with their career goals. In addition, there are numerous field work opportunities in Milwaukee and the state that serve as great opportunities to gain work experience and networking opportunities that aid in getting a job after graduation.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2018

I am currently a student at UW- Milwaukee. I would highly recommend this school to any student. My program study is Administrative Leadership. The professors are challenging, however provide an excellent education and are very helpful with feedback. I like most that I am able to apply what I learn to my work. The advisors are also extremely helpful with choosing courses that will most impact my work and my goals. Great program and school!

UW-MILWAUKEE provided a good learning opportunity to obtain my Masters. The Trauma classes were definitely the best and shaped me to the social worker I am today!

UWM was a great way for me to get my masters degree while still working full time. Evening classes worked well with my schedule as well as bus transportation from area park-n-rides. Milwaukee is lucky to have a high quality college.
