Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2015

I've only recently enrolled so I don't feel that I can rate the school at this time. So far everyone that I have worked with have done an excellent job answering my questions and getting the ball rolling for me.

The pros of the graduate program are: students are able comprehensively understand policies and laws that govern our society, and meet and network with other colleagues that share similarities in their career field. the con of the program is the distance learning. Although I personally do not have a problem with distance learning some students that are comfortable with this form of learning feel as though wait periods for a professor to answer their questions can be frustrating.

Because the program is online, it allows the student to complete their education while maintaining a full time job or other responsibilities. The online program however doesn't involve much social contact between other students.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2014

Some question left blank, the are NA. I am an online student. The MSN-FNP is new to Walden, started 2012, many kinks are still being worked out as expected. Communication between student to faculty and faculty and institution remains a big concern. Instructors seem to all have different perceptions of grading rubrics.

Walden provides a great asynchronous environment its students. They are constantly looking for ways to make the online classroom experience better for their students.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2015

Well, the con is obviously missing out on the classroom experience, since this is an online program. The pros are numerous. The professors have been by and large exceptional. The residency experience is fantastic. My cohorts are interesting, intelligent, dynamic, multifaceted individuals committed to creating positive change in their communities. The curriculum in challenging. The support staff is broad-based, available, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The university really deserves an APA accreditation, which should happen as online programs gain wider accept5ance and respectability.

Degree: Curriculum & Instruction
Graduation Year: 2014

Walden University offers outstanding academic challenges. The information is practical application of theoretical constructs that is important for current educational situations. The only con is the cost of education.
