"The benefits of the MSW program at Wayne State University are that it is on an urban campus in Detroit, and the university provides a lot of student support."

"It was a long wait to hear if accepted into school. Counselors have been wonderful, professors this semester are great, workload has been decent. I have to keep an eye out around campus because of a string of robberies, a little paranoid. Parking has been good and the commute is great."

"I believe that my graduate program challenges me to think about the reasoning behind the concepts that I am learning. The program motivates me to research and understand teh material that is being taught. I feel like it motivates every day to stay focused and reach my goals. The graduate program can be stressful but it also provides a balance to be able to breathe. I think that the program will help me become a successful research scientist. The only con that I can think of is that the program takes up alot of time which has made me become less social but I know that in the end it will all be worth it!"

"Affiliations with nearby hospitals and the numerous benefits that they provide is one of the major reasons for choosing Wayne State University's pharmacy school over the pharmacy schools of the University of Michigan and Ferris State University."

"It is a challenging program with a lot of supportive faculty and staff. The classes show you the value of what you're learning and how it applies to the work world."

"I really enjoy the graduate school program here at WSU much better than undergrad. I plan to enroll in their Master of Counseling Program with a concentration in School and Community Counseling and adaptation in Rehabiliation. I tried to go else where but the location is great. Cost affordable and the staff is great. I would reccommend WSU to anyone. I would suggest to new students to manage their financial aid so it would allow them to attend spring and summer sessions. I'm super excited about the Counseling Program. Good luck everyone!!!"

"Wayne State University offers an affordable on-line program for the Masters of Library and Information Science program. The program offers a well rounded selection of on-line courses that fit around my busy 40 hour work week. I feel that the faculty, technology support is there when I need them and believe they have a top notch program. There is plenty of opportunity to interact with professors and other students through discussion boards and group projects. I would recommend it to any student wishing to obtain the MLIS from Wayne."

"The staff is very supportive and helpful, and the class size is small so you are able to get more one-on-one attention."

"Wayne State is overall a good value. It is difficult to build social relationships, possibly due to being in a graduate school program, but there are organizations and clubs available. The campus is very safe and the area has inexpensive student housing."

"I am in the Masters of Occupational Therapy program at Wayne State University. All of the professors are very personable and available when you need them and are always willing to help further your education and career goals. The support system at Wayne in the MOT program is wonderful. The professors are very knowledgeable and are great assets to the university. I commute to WSU on a daily basis, but there is the Detroit public transportation available if needed. The financial aid office is extremely helpful and willing to guide you through the process when changing from under grad to grad school. Being as the school is in the heart of Detroit, it does have its down side on crime. The campus police does a fairly good job of sending emails to warn students of crimes and their locations in order to keep them safe. The perk of being in Detroit is that there are plenty of great places to see and visit in the surrounding areas, including the neighboring cities. There is a large variety of restaurants, casinos, sports/entertainment venues, and bars. Overall, Wayne State University is a great place to attend and gives a high quality education."

"The pros of my graduate program is that you'll be certified for a Plan of Work once you graduate and the cons are that unless you have a grad assistant job financial aid does not provide scholarships for graduate students in which they should work on doing in the near future."

"I commute to school so I don't really know a lot about living or transportation because I walk mostly everywhere. School faculty and counselors are helpful sometimes but I feel that many times things take longer than needed. Sciences are challenging and to be competitive in your major (especially science oriented) you need to have a high GPA"
