"Clinical placement was promised by admissions advisor-that is the only reason I decided to attend Wilkes. With GPA of 4.0 in my masters and doctorate degrees I could have gone anywhere. Complementary Clinical placement is also advertised on the university website. I completed 2 courses in the summer 2023 and Clinical placement was not secured for me by the Clinical placement team as was falsely promised. There was no effort at all to place me. Program coordinator and Clinical placement team were dismissive when I started voicing my concerns as it became obvious that I would not have Clinical placement for the coming semester. I dropped out of the program and the university refused to refund tuition. The classes I completed are not transferable to a different school of my choice. I'm writing this to caution prospective nurse practitioner students- beware, Wilkes university Will Not find a Clinical site for you. They of course will promise to do so to get you in the door and collect your money. The University needs to take "Complementary Clinical Placement " off their website and make sure their admissions staff do not mislead prospective students."
