Student & Graduate Reviews

Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2016

The courses through the APUS are very thorough and complete. The counselors were on top of making sure everything was complete and my questions answered in a timely manner. I like it so well that my husband will be starting his masters through the same school in the fall.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2014

The faculty was great; due to professors working in the field. The courses were challenging and the school has an ACBSP business school accreditation. I truly cannot say anything negative about the school as I have received my BA and MBA through the institution. The school is also military friendly and has agreements with various branches of the services and the DOD Acquisition Community.

APUS is an online school and as such questions regarding transportation, surrounding area, social life, campus safety, and affordability of living were not answered. This influenced the score which if "not applicable" were an option APUS would rate 9 stars. The quality of education I received was excellent and has made the PhD coursework manageable. The quality of faculty is also excellent and I remain in contact with several professors after graduation. Great school.

This is an online program which makes it easily accessible and affordable. While the workload is good it can sometimes be overwhelming considering the majority of the students hold full-time jobs and have families.

Since everything is online it is hard to have adequate communication when there is an issue. Sometimes the professors do not check their inboxes and this creates issues if a student is needing help. They did work with me when I had some issues and I was able to extend my course deadline.

Degree: Liberal Arts
Graduation Year: 2013

I feel APU/AMU online coursework is very beneficial to a student who juggles a full time job and full time wife =) and allows me to do my coursework when I am able to as compared to a brick and mortar institution. As far as cons, I would say the lack of face to face student interaction would be it. It does not prepare you for your potential career and possible public speaking only communicating with your peers through the internet.

I have absolutely zero cons to the program. Having just started it would be hard to, however thus far (and having attained my BA at this University) I have had nothing but the best guidance and success.

I have not yet started the program, but the application and registration process has been painless. I have been very happy with the Admissions Counselor's at APU.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2019

This is an online program so most of the networking possibilities are loss because this degree is accomplished online. However, this program very accessible for those individuals that have full time jobs.

Degree: Political Science
Graduation Year: 2009

The program itself, I felt, was quality education taught from highly qualified professionals. I received my MA in Political Science, concentration Intelligence Studies, and all of my professors had some type of experience in the intellgience field with great academic credentials. My peers were all excellent to interact with and overall I had a great experience. The problem lies in the fact that online education is still not exactly a widely accepted form of education and the feeling I get when I list it on my resume or CV is that it is not taken seriously. I have since then received a second masters from one institution and am receiving a third from Georgetown. The quality of education and course work is on par with those other institutions. Hopefully the stigma of online education will change soon at which point I would highly reccomend this institution as a great choice.
