Student & Graduate Reviews

Angelo State University has so much to offer both undergraduate and graduate students. Being a mid-sized public school, it is not only appropriate for most families but also affordable. It's not the most well known institution in Texas, but it should be better known. It's got wonderfully strong undergrad programs, small class sizes, and great post grad options. I'm in the Masters of Education Student Development and Leadership Program. As a current high school college access adviser, I recommend many of my students apply to Angelo State. As a current student, I live the flexibility of on line learning. This degree will afford me more potential to support more of the first generation, under-supported populations I live working with in my position.

Graduation Year: 2018

The advisors and admissions staff have been incredibly helpful in the process of applying to graduate school and registering for classes. So far, in all of my courses my professors have been engaged in the material and have always been extremely responsive when students have had questions regarding course material. I was nervous at first about attempting a fully only graduate program, but the process through Angelo State University has been smooth, and each course has been laid out in a way that is easy to navigate. I would definitely recommend this school to other considering a Masters of Education.

This is a great program for those interested in ISSA. This is one of a few schools outside of American Military University that offers this program. USAF officers who completed the 14N course also have the opportunity to transfer credits from that course!

Pros: Professors were very responsive, course expectations were easily understood, professors did expect higher level thinking and provided positive feedback. I was in the Principal certification program and it was thorough and a good learning experience. Cons: none

ASU provides a great way to earn a quality education with the convenience of a distance learning program.

I feel really supported even though it is through virtual support. The classes are relevant to my current job and the positions I am interested in.

Degree: Criminal Justice
Graduation Year: 2017

I am pursuing a Master's in Criminal Justice at Angelo State University. This program is a recent addition to the university and has the unique aspect of being conducted completely online. This provides an outstanding opportunity for full-time employees, such as myself, to still take part in graduate work. Because of the closeness of the university and the community many law enforcement professionals are either involved in or contribute to the program. This coupled with excellent professors makes this program a joy to be in. The only con is waiting for the foundation of the program to solidify so that the scheduling and registration do as well.

Degree: Physical Therapy
Graduation Year: 2018

I am enjoying my graduate program thanks to the challenging nature of the work and the diversity of my classmates. The faculty is available at all times to help and encourage us students. However living in a small town at times is challenging personally. I feel limited on the jobs I will have access to due to where my clinical and internships will be located in comparison to a larger more centrally located school.

Degree: School Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016

My online graduate program is well planned. I have a decent amount of course work for working professionals. The assignments are realistic and helpful.

Degree: Business Administration
Graduation Year: 2016

The pros to my graduate program are that the courses are on-line. It makes it real convenient for my family and I. The cons are that you miss out on the human interaction because the programs is on-line. I enjoyed the college atmosphere in undergrad.
