Student & Graduate Reviews

4.2 out of 5.0
Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016

Armstrong State University taught me it was possible to feel like I could handle the opportunity of being in a university setting, but still receive the support from facility members that would ultimately help me succeed. The Psychology department felt like an oasis to me when I had questions about course work, difficulties understanding concepts, or merely just wanting to talk about how I wanted to shape my future career. They allowed me to be as involved as I wanted to be ( as long as I put in the work). The expectations of the student are clearly defined at the beginning of the semester and every professor allowed for office hours for any necessary clarification needed about class material. They treat students with respect much like an employee and they expect the same in return. I would recommend this college to anyone that is ready to do the work. You will come out with gratitude for the professors, peers, and various facility members you met along the way.

Armstrong State University will remain despite the merger with Georgia Southern University in September 2018. Armstrong State University professors thoroughly teach graduates to apply the Public Health working knowledge for the future careers. Armstrong is surrounded by off campus housing such as apartments and townhouses, restaurants, shopping malls, 20-30 minutes from downtown Savannah, GA and 40 minutes Tybee Island and Beach. Degree: Public Health
Graduation Year: 2016

The Master's of Public Health program I am enrolled in provides students with rewarding and unique learning experiences. The road to obtaining the degree requires dedication due to the work load but it is completely attainable and actually quite enjoyable because of the strong network of cohorts as well as faculty members. Opportunities to present research and attend conferences are always promoted by the department.

Degree: Early Childhood Education
Graduation Year: 2016

By far the graduate program for early childhood education is the best. The faculty and staff is very knowledgeable and accessible. The workload is a lot especially if you have a full time job but it is not impossible.
