Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016

I am currently in an online graduate program. it allows me to continue my education while being able to work full-time to support my child. Even though it is 100% online the support from faculty is amazing.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2018

Due to pursuing my graduate education online, specific factors do not apply to me such as campus safety, living affordability, surrounding area, and transportation. Otherwise, my experience with Capella has been amazing and appreciated because it allows the flexibility I need to continue to work full-time with varied hours.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2017

The program is flexible, but organized. Communication is excellent, not only between students and teachers, but also the office staff.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2016

Capella's Flex Path program allows the student to move through courses at their own pace. This enables an ambitious student to graduate much more quickly than in a traditional classroom setting.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2018

Capella has excellent structure for any type of student. Classes are laid out by week and each assignment has clear rubrics. Most instructors are available for extra help via email and are willing to allow corrections for better grades. One con of the program is that every instructor seems to have their own version of what APA style entails making it difficult to transition one's writing from one class to the next.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2018

I am very excited to be able to work on my graduate degree online while I raise my children. I love that I will not have to be away from them in a brick and mortar institution in order to best serve my family. I feel incredibly honored to be able to live in a time period where online schooling is a very real opportunity to become a licensed therapist so I can live my dream of helping others better their lives. The downside may be not having direct, in-person contact with staff and students. I am positive that with an exceptional school like Capella, I will feel apart of the community even on my couch with my laptop.

Degree: Public Administration
Graduation Year: 2015

The Public Administration Graduate Program is adequate and extremely knowledge-based (in my opinion). The course materials are easily accessible and relevant to the course content. At times, the work can be overwhelming; especially when taking more than one course. However, if you pay attention and complete the assigned readings, the discussion and assignments shouldn't be so time-consuming. Compared to the average community college, Capella's tuition is rather costly. Beginning the 2015 Summer quarter, the University will no longer offer free e-versions of the required textbooks, and will begin charging a $150 fee to access graduate level e-books. Thus far, my academic advisors and professors have been very helpful and understanding during certain situations.
