Degree: Education

My doctoral program is excellent. I couldn't be happier with my dissertation mentor. The path to my doctorate has been awesome, filled with hard work and challenge. Hitting my lifetime cap on my financial aid has made it very difficult to pay the out-of-pocket to maintain the progress I have been able to make to this point. I am looking forward to getting the funds that I need to proceed and to be in the position to help others educationally.

My experience with Capella has been excellent. If I ever had any concerns or problems, someone was always there to assist in a timely manner. The course work is very competitive and provided me great real world knowledge. The pros of the program is the convenience of being able to work at your own pace. The online resources provided me with enough information to complete my assignments. I have no cons. However even with the fact that there is no physical interaction, all of the resources such as video conferences and social boards make up for it.

The pros of my graduate program is that I was able to network with many other learners and do this online so that I could work too. The cons are that it's expensive!

Capella offers adult learners the flexibility to go back to graduate school around the demands of their daily life and to succeed at it because of their amazing support offered to learners. Every attempt is made to make learning engaging, relevant to work and professional goals, and academically rigorous. This is a great plus for me as I did not trust that I would have received graduate level online education that maintains a high level of scholarship and commitment to producing graduates that compare favorably with recognized brick and motor universities. Capella has proved me wrong and I now recommend Capella to anyone looking to pursue graduate education.

I'm only starting my second course at Capella in Clinical Psychology for my Masters. I enjoy the challenge of the work and the way they make us really think and apply the skill sets necessary to be a practitioner.

Capella is a fantastic school and I am happy to be in their program. It is a challenge to find funding as a graduate student. Loans are not need based and do not cover living expenses or make up for sacrificed work hours needed to pursue an education.

This will by spring semester with Capella University. I started the fall of 2013. I am loving every minute of my grad experience. Yes, the workload is sometimes a bit much, but with good time management and great support from my fiancee and my mom, I am doing pretty well. As of right now I have a 4.0. In my lifetime, I have never had a 4.0. My writing level has increase, my confidence and self worth has also increase since I have join Capella. I have waited 7 years to attend grad school and I am glad I waited for the right time and place in my life to do it!!

I found Capella University to be the best graduate program for me and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to pursue further education while continuing to live their life! I served in active duty military, was married, and mother to four children while also attending classes online. The faculty at Capella were wonderful, the classes were stellar, and the communication was top-notch! Even in an online environment I was able to find enough support from peers and professors to fill the void of not being in a live classroom.

Capella is a great school. I am able to have a flexible schedule and it doesn't interrupt any other aspect of my life. One con is that some professors are not understanding of student needs and issues.
