Student & Graduate Reviews

Degree: History
Graduation Year: 2018

This program is one of very few offered in the New England area and is still relatively new. That being said, the Public History Masters Program at CCSU does its best to try to professionalize the program and prepare its students for the workforce. It requires that each student goes to 5 conferences over the course of their degree as a way to network with other museums and history organizations. Also, each student must complete an internship and capstone project, allowing them to incorporate their classroom learning into real life applications.

Degree: Special Education
Graduation Year: 2016

After graduating from CCSU with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, I decided to pursue my masters in Special Education at CCSU as well. The program gave the knowledge and experience to be a Special Education teacher. The program provided positive resources, experiences and outlets to help the teacher provide positive, resourceful experiences to help all students reach their goals and targets. The program at CCSU allowed for meaningful lessons and activities to teach us how to be prepared for our future careers. The professors help teach from their experiences which helps enlighten the students with what to prepare for. Overall, CCSU is a great program to pursue your teaching career, especially in Special Education. I worked hard for my degree and I am ready to continue pursue my education at CCSU.

Degree: Database Administration
Graduation Year: 2017

The data analytics program is great. I have used a lot of what I have learned in class at my place of employment and have helped make changes at work for the better. The class sizes are small so there is a lot of interaction with the professors all of whom are really passionate about what they are teaching.

Degree: Computer Science
Graduation Year: 2016

The college is good but the job prospects for a non citizen, no GC holder student is bleak. No real opportunities even after doing MS
4.2 out of 5.0
Degree: Clinical Psychology
Graduation Year: 2018

My graduate program is excellent, great professors and good advisor. I feel satisfied with the program that I choose. I recommend at all because I feel that counseling program help me to have a professional and personal growth. I can highlight that the student diversity in the program is high and my favorite courses are group counseling and multicultural counseling.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2018

The pros of my graduate programa are: the professors provide us high quality clases with a great teaching methods to learn about ethics, Counseling technique, etc. Also, as part of the graduate requisites students must complete a practicum and internship. This is a great opportunity to have work experience to entry in the competitive work world. About the cons, I should mention that will be a great idea to have a computer Center and a small library for graduate students in social science field.

Degree: Public Relations
Graduation Year: 2018

Excellent Graduate Program, but difficult workload for students who are also working full-time.

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2017

My program itself is awesome. Central as a whole university was lacking in a few different aspects. The social life was not really existent and the surrounding area was seen as "unsafe."

Degree: Liberal Arts
Graduation Year: 2018

I've taken classes at another graduate program, and CCSU is leaps and bounds ahead of other programs. I feel like I get a quality education, and my professors really know what they're talking about. I enjoy classes, and I like the CCSU campus.

Degree: ESL
Graduation Year: 2018

I chose this school because of the specific program that I am interested in. Certification in TESOL is not offered in a lot of places so I was lucky to find a place so close to home. The faculty is accessible and has been very helpful so far. I would make the same decision again.
