Fantastic program with great professors at a great price for aspiring teachers. Final thesis brings quality for all career levels and pushes you to make connections within your general location. Strongly recommend if you are seeking a masters degree on a teacher's salary or budget.

This institution provided me with what I needed to succeed. I appreciated the face to face contact with professors to further my career, instead of staring at a computer screen.

The department is rather tight nit and gets along greatly. The instructors care about the well being of their students and are very supportive. The stipend is rather small, but the cost of living is cheap here as well. With some well-planned budgeting it is manageable.

Degree: Elementary Education
Graduation Year: 2016

I am currently pursuing my graduate degree entirely online from almost two hours away from the campus. My professors have been extremely accommodating setting up phone conferences and never requiring me to be on campus to obtain my degree. The con of my graduate program is without meeting face to face some items get lost in translation and cause confusion.

Degree: Higher Education
Graduation Year: 2016

Compared to the other programs in the state, this one is very affordable and detailed. Being online, it is harder to connect to the faculty, but there are many resources available to get around that.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016

Its a newly added Program by the Board of Applied Behavior Analysis in the Psychology Dept. So far the program has exceeded my expectations and everything has been very straightforward and easy to understand as far as classes, financial need, coursework, and available internships. The communication between staff and students is a definite strong point, as well!

The faculty in this program is what makes it a step above the rest. They care about you, your education, and your future career. Combining practicum experience with classroom learning, the family and consumer sciences graduate program at Central Washington University really prepares you for your life after graduation, whether in a family studies career or going on to earn your PhD.
