Degree: Communications (Speech Pathology)
Graduation Year: 2014

During our summer to summer coursework, I learned more than I ever imagined. The instructors and supervisors were outstanding. The program accepts only 30 students, which allows professors to answer specific questions and address each students' needs. Cons of the program included limited work space due to the growth of the undergraduate and distance cohort students.

Degree: Secondary Education
Graduation Year: 2014

Eastern Illinois University has an excellent program for the teaching profession. The professors and instructors strive to give the best possible learning experience possible. My teaching practices have improved and my classroom will benefit greatly as a result of the education I have received from EIU.

Degree: Healthcare Management
Graduation Year: 2014

Pros were that the community is a great place to live, you always feel safe, and Eastern is one of the most affordable schools in the state of Illinois. The only con is that there is not a lot of shopping in the area, and as a grad student free time can be hard to fill believe it or not.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016

The School Psychology Program at EIU is of very high quality. The faculty members are dedicated to making sure students are well-rounded and very well-prepared to go out into the world as competent, confident School Psychologists, and they are incredibly supportive. The workload and difficulty level is somewhat higher than other similar programs, but that is just a part of a higher quality of training. Being from the Chicago suburbs, the rural surroundings were a bit difficult to get used to, but there is still plenty to do in Charleston, IL and surrounding areas!

Degree: Educational Leadership
Graduation Year: 2014

One disadvantage of the graduate program is the limited flexibility of course offering and time of courses. That is in part due to the program running during the summer and limited number of participants, but it is a con. A huge advantage is that Eastern Illinois University has a very dedicated and talented staff of instructors in the teacher education program. I feel very blessed to have worked with the instructors thus far.

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2014

Eastern Illinois provides ample opportunities for students to succeed. The staff at EIU demonstrates genuine concern about the success of their students. The cons of EIU is that some of the buildings need to be renovated to accommodate the current technology.

Degree: Nutrition
Graduation Year: 2012

The pros of my graduate program is that I love nutrition and helping people. The cons is that with the economy and job available I can not find a job or afford to live on what I make now.

Graduation Year: 2014

Pros - faculty is very friendly and supportive. Their office doors are always open to answer questions. The program is competitive and challenging, but it prepares students well. Cons - Charleston is not a very exciting area. The campus isn't very pretty.
