Degree: Legal Studies
Graduation Year: 2016

The program director of the SLIM Portland cohort is the star of the graduate school. She interviews, enroll and mentors each student as they take online classes. Since I work full-time, I enjoy finding connections between my work in an academic library and the theory of cataloging, metadata and website creation.

Degree: Mathematics
Graduation Year: 2016

Some professors are exactly my style, and others are not. But they all push you to do very well. The distance aspect of the distance program is done perfectly. It feels like you are in a classroom watching a lecture, and you can even participate and ask questions. In fact, it is expected that you do so:)

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2016

I just started this program and since it is an online degree some of the above categories were hard to accurately score. Overall I'm excited for the program and look forward to completion.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2015

The program is comprehensive and challenging, but rewarding in the end. Many of the students are placed within their desired job market 6 months after graduation.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2014

The Mental Health Counseling Program is great. There are things in the surrounding town that could be improved, but given the chance to do it again I would still choose this program. The faculty and other students are helpful. I've really been shaped into a counselor and I feel ready to go into the world and start my career.

Degree: Library Science
Graduation Year: 2015

I feel that the MLS program is great for working professionals who want to pursue a degree without having to schedule time for classes. The online format allows students to complete their coursework when they have time during the week rather while still maintaining their work schedule. The program is competitive and accredited by the ALA so students can be confident in their skills they learn as ESU.
