The three years that I've spent there, I have nothing to complain. From my perspective, it's the best architecture program out there. FIU SOA for life!!!!

Degree: Architecture
Graduation Year: 2019

It is competitive, exciting, thrilling... A lot of work, but it's what we came here for. It prepares you well. For the students who find themselves struggling to have a social life, it's because of procrastination and lack of balance with the school work and personal life. It's an amazing program.

Degree: ESL
Graduation Year: 2016

This graduate program is excellent and very appealing to students all over the world. It is a little expensive for international students though, and I would like to have financial aid based on grades.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2016

I am truly enjoying the Professional MBA Program at FIU. The College of Business provides great customer service and understands the need of working professionals pursuing an MBA. The course work is difficult, but rewarding and enjoyable. Over all I'm thrilled with my experience in the MBA program at FIU.

Degree: Public Policy
Graduation Year: 2016

FIU's campus is beautiful and relatively small so it is easy to walk from one class to the next. The emergency response system is very effective, making the campus feel very safe. In the event of any emergency or police activity, each student receives an email, text message, and phone call to alert them of the situation. Most of the buildings are very new, which is reflected in the architectural style and technological capabilities. The campus is very active, too! There's some kind of event happening each day of the week, especially at the beginning and end of each semester. The faculty and staff of the Asian Studies program are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, passionate, and approachable. I've noticed that the professors, when faced with a unique or difficult situation, are very understanding and flexible. The program is very active in FIU's social life, as well, and sponsor several events each semester. There are two main issues with the program: (1) too few graduate student- specific courses (many courses are a mixture of undergraduate and graduate students), and (2) the lack of a professional development component. One the second point, the graduate students that have been recruited to the program are valuable sources of knowledge.
