Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2014

I am in the Distance Learning MBA program but still have access to all of the on-campus resources. The professors are enthusiastic, passionate, leaders in their fields of their studies and are always accessible and ready to address questions or concerns. The networking opportunities as well as the connections made within the program or unsurpassible and the challenging environment of the program is leaving me feeling confident and competent in my area of study.

Degree: Civil Engineering
Graduation Year: 2013

The program is very flexible in choosing which courses you can take for your plan of study. The cost and time for the Master's degree is very reasonable, however after speaking with many employers, the program is not valued very highly with other universities.

Degree: Political Science

The PhD program is great. The quantitative training you receive is top-notch. Also, the stipend is generous ($21,000/year + tuition)

Degree: Communications (Health)
Graduation Year: 2016

I'm currently taking a distance learning program through FSU and LOVE it. The major pro is that FSU has supplied my program with a distance option. They use a reliable and user friendly internet system. The curriculum is challenging and interesting. The teachers are knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. The only con is that there isn't a huge amount of financial support for graduate level courses.

Degree: Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016

The Combined Program in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology offers a flexible doctorate that allows you to customize your courses to fulfill your professional goals. The program also offers a variety of practica, research opportunities, and has a supportive faculty. A con would be out-of-state tuition and the lack of funding for Master/Education Specialist students.

The department of Political Science at FSU offers graduate students an education that will make them very marketable. They offer extensive quantitative training, teaching experience, opportunities to work with professors, and the curriculum is designed to incentivize publication.
