The program was not difficult. I felt it could be a little more rigorous and challenging, but overall prepared me for my career.

Degree: Counseling
Graduation Year: 2015

Being a newly admitted student in the Master's of Mental Heath Counseling program I am completely happy and content with my decision to attend Fordham University. It is a great university and I know that it will aid in my development in being an effective psychologist. The only con is the expenses that comes a long with being a student here. 1200 per credit!!!!! I still can't believe it. However, I will do everything in my power to stay in school and continue my education.

I am in the online-only MSW graduate program at Fordham University. This is a unique program designed for individuals who live more than 100 miles away from the school campus. The program is flexible - the entire program is online which allows working students and students with families to design their own weekly schedules in order to complete the assignments. The program requires very good time management skills; it is up to the student to complete the assignments within the allotted time frame. For individuals who have difficulty with time management and working independently, this may not be the program for them. For those who are motivated and enjoy the online format, this program is a wonderful choice for pursing a graduate degree in social work.

The library is not 24 hours no matter if there's finals or not and the computers are always breaking while the teachers are trying to teach.

Degree: Social Work
Graduation Year: 2014

I feel that my graduate program is very well structured. There are many different concentrations that you can choose from in the school of social services, as other social work schools do not offer. The faculty are all very supportive and easily accessible. The workload is fair for a graduate program.

Degree: School Psychology
Graduation Year: 2016

The School Psychology program is small, but that means that you really get to know the other students in your cohort as well as your professors. For the most part, the School Psych professors at Fordham are very accessible and committed to helping us learn and grow both in the classroom and in the field. The only cons of the program are that some courses require outside work with children, and Fordham doesn't provide much help in finding children to work with; and that there isn't much guidance regarding when to take certain classes and thus scheduling can sometime be a problem with pre-requisites, etc. Overall, however, I am glad I chose Fordham for my graduate education and would recommend it to anyone pursuing a career in School Psychology or any other education-related field!

Although I have just started my grad program, I can say without doubt that the professors are very engaging and professional. They give you constant feedback and support. One of the cons would be the large groups at the foundation phase courses and the lack of student diversity. Another con would also be the lack of merit-based aid for International students. In LC the social life takes place outside the campus, the surrounding area is awesome. The program is very solid, it offers a wide variety of fieldwork opportunities and a good preparation for the licensing exam.
