Degree: Non-Profit Management
Graduation Year: 2016

Having founded my own Non profit organization called Friends Of the Needy child, I realized I needed more than passion for it to succeed. So I thought long and hard on what I can do to make a bigger impact than already felt. Pros Masters in Non-profit management helps meet the unique need of my organization. Cons The graduate program is expensive.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2015

Pros: This program is a nice 2 year program that allows full time workers to earn their MBA's in a challenging course but only in class for 4 hours per week. Going through the 2 year program with the same people is a huge benefit as I have made some lifelong friends in the program. Cons: As with any school, some classes are extremely beneficial, some are not. The disadvantage of having a 6 week course for 4 hours each week is that you often only skim the surface of a subject. However, that is to be expected in a program like this. Since you do not have to take any tests to get in, there are sometimes students in your cohort who should not be there for obvious reasons such as a lack of effort or blatant plagiarism. The teachers do a great job ensuring that you feel empowered to take control if any of these people end up in a group with you or could negatively affect your grade.

Degree: Teaching
Graduation Year: 2015

The program is designed for working adults. All of the classes are one night a week. The professors are 15+ year professional in education. The Office of Clinical Experience arranges all of the clinical hours and my student teaching placement. So I only had to worry about my course work. The down side is it can take a long time to complete the program if you are only taking a single class at a time.

The professors are nice and helpful. It's hard to complete the graduate education program while holding a full time job and supporting a family.

Degree: Elementary Education
Graduation Year: 2014

The faculty has been great. I have had really awesome teachers. The staff in my program have not been so great. I don't think that they are connected enough with the students. I don't feel like they care about me as an individual. I keep getting requests for information that I have already provided to them. There is not clear communication between the advisors and the students. Parking is close and easy. School is easy to get to.

Hamline's education program is fabulous for adults. Lots of the professors understand that you are working and pursuing your dream. There is several unique things. I don't know about job support because I haven't graduated yet.

Hamline's MFA in Creative Writing is incredible. I compared several programs before choosing Hamline and couldn't be happier with my choice.

Degree: Elementary Education
Graduation Year: 2015

I have not spent a lot of time in the Hamline program. I do wish it had more online classes for this program. It is quite the drive from where I work, but it was one of the better priced programs.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2014

I did a lot of research prior to applying with Hamline and was aware of the infancy of the program. It seems like they are still struggling through some of their growing pains in terms of program development. They have recently completely revamped their curriculum and extended the program by a semester. Overall, I would recommend people to really evaluate how they're going to derive value out of the program and their personal goals. The networking is great and I feel like that may be one of the greatest assets I'll take away from the program.

Hamline is great. There is a strong community with activities meet and greets and teacher connection is easy. Classes r good but the campus is just one building.
