Degree: Public Relations

Louisiana State University is a great institution. I absolutely love the program because each class allows me to apply my subject area to whatever we are learning about. There are also a lot of faculty/ staff who are supportive in helping start research and get it published. I had a lot of anxiety about navigating my way through academia and the support I receive is empowering me to accomplish more than I anticipated. There are also a lot of programs and office for students to get involved in, which have allowed to be completely refresh my resume.

Degree: MBA
Graduation Year: 2018

Louisiana State University's online MBA program has offered the flexibility I need to pursue my graduate education. Although remote, many of the professors have been very responsive and answered questions I have had about the course materials though email or the online LMS. Resources like Harvard Business online simulations have provided hands-on experience and actionable learning.

I highly recommend Louisiana State University's Online Program in Higher Education Administration with a focus in Student Affairs. I have had a mix of professors throughout the program. Some have been generous with the feedback and others encouraged more discussion amongst students. During my time at LSU, we got a new director for our program and I have not felt a lack of support or guidance with the change. I believe this reflects on the dedication they have with the student experience (online or in-person). I would recommend my major to other students only if they are interested in the field of Higher Education and currently hold a professional job at the university level. This not only makes fiscal sense, but also enriches the material that the courses provide for you as a student. The financial aid office answered all of my questions and swiftly addressed my concerns with aid distribution. Additionally, each semester we are surveyed about our experiences with our instructors and student services which provide us with constant opportunities to voice concerns. I did not want to sacrifice a good education because I worked full-time while attaining my degree and I believe chose the right place. I am proud to say that I have applied every class to my current professional life and that doing this masters has tuned me into the opportunities I need to keep an eye out for in my field.
