The pros about my graduate program is that the directors and staff really take their time to engage and help their students. The cons about this program is a possibility of not finding a job or a good placement for internships.

Degree: Physician Assistant
Graduation Year: 2017

My program at Mercy College is a well known Physician Assistant program that has been around for several decades. What makes my school different from any other is that we have a grant for a mobile health vehicle. As students, we have the opportunity to travel with the bus to different areas in the Bronx, that desperately need health care. We provide screenings of blood pressure and sugar levels which may indicate underlying health issues the person may never know they had. The cons are the same with any PA program around the country in that the program is intense. 75% of the curriculum of medical school is shortened into two years. The academic year is extremely stressful and the workload is unlike anything I have ever done before. It is exciting knowing that I am studying to become a health care professional.

The Pros about this graduate program is the size of the classes, the professor really take their time out to make sure you understand the materials. the cons would the communication from the administration staff. you rarely get your questions answer directly always some back and forth issues. But overall the education your getting is fantastic.

Degree: Business
Graduation Year: 2015

The pros of my graduate program was that it had a very flexible schedule for my life. Also I was very pleased that it had an option of finishing school faster and saving money by the completion of the Turbo program. A con was that some of the classes I wanted to take was only available at certain campuses. Another con was that the manhattan campus did not have a cafeteria, and some days I needed coffee and did not have time to go outside.

Degree: English
Graduation Year: 2017

The program is completely online, but the faculty are always accessible. The professors are willing to help and work with each student independently. The registrar office is difficult to get in touch with at times and classes are expensive.

The beauty about Mercy College is that the Dobbs Ferry Campus is beautiful and far away from a crowded area. Its a little bit expensive and not too much optional for scholarships.
