Student & Graduate Reviews

4.25 out of 5.0
Degree: Chemical Engineering
Graduation Year: 2019

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Leading experts in my field of interest.
4.08 out of 5.0
Degree: Liberal Studies
Graduation Year: 2017

This program is a Master of Science, so is science content heavy. Many graduate programs for teachers have many education classes, but this one focuses half of the program on graduate level topics related to science. There are many science courses offered, and students may choose from a variety of science fields to get an interdisciplinary perspective. Summer campus classes are short - about a week for most of them - so it is an easy trip to get field experience classes that count towards your degree.

Degree: Mathematics
Graduation Year: 2017

My graduate program has allowed me the flexibility to take courses in order to fulfill the requirements but stay within my interest area. In addition, classes during the school year are offered online, and in the summer we come to campus.

Degree: Developmental Psychology
Graduation Year: 2014

The graduate program was challenging and exciting. I was able to use the many resources available to students in order to be successful in the program.

Degree: Architecture
Graduation Year: 2015

The graduate architecture program at Montana State University has a great studio culture. They are working hard to connect undergraduates with graduate students to enhance support for student success in a very rigorous program.
4.67 out of 5.0
Degree: Biomedical Sciences
Graduation Year: 2015

This school is incredible. After doing my undergrad out of state then returning home for my Master's, I only wish I had done it sooner, and had also done my undergrad here. The staff and faculty are top notch, experts in their field, and incredible talented educators. As a non-traditional student I look at things from a different perspective than many of those in my classes, with quality and value of education being atop the list, and I can't imagine a school being any better in either category than Montana State.
2.08 out of 5.0
Degree: Electrical Engineering
Graduation Year: 2014

It was a great opportunity to be at MSU for 5 years but I feel that I could have chosen a better school. If you want to be a professor someday, MSU is not the place you want to pursue your graduate studies.

Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2015

Very flexible and aligned to current teachers. Cons: Didn't get any financial aid
3.42 out of 5.0
Degree: Education
Graduation Year: 2016

I love this program because it offers me the flexibility of being able to keep my full-time job as an educator, but still travel to a destination to achieve a unique degree that will give me an edge in the science education field.

Degree: Film Production
Graduation Year: 2016

They have a great location, good networking opportunities, and great students. However the support for students was lacking.
