I have just started a cohort program which meets off campus. So far, I have had a very positive experience as a NLU student.

National Louis has been a great program for acquiring my teaching certification as well as my masters degree at the same time. The staff are easily accessible and productive. I recommend this school to anyone who is trying to work while earning their degree.

I am an older adult returning to school and National Louis University is an excellent university for my age group. They provide the support I need. I do not stay on campus so I cannot answer question on student housing.

The pros are continued educations and I guess the cons would be learning to balance working full-time and schoolwork.

I feel this school has very well education staff. Most of them are very willing to help you reach your goals and make you a successful student. I love the positive feedback I get on my papers and projects. Even when something is wrong they put a positive with it as you should do in teaching. So they use what they have learning in their education and apply it in the classroom. My friend recommended the school to me and I love it so far. I feel I have grown professionally because of this school and feel I will achieve my life long goal of having a graduate degree.

Pro is that the the program is online. Con is that there is minimal support and participation from instructors. The program is mainly the students teaching each other, which is pretty ineffective. Not very much constructive input from instructors until time for grading projects.

I think the program is excellent in courses and faculty. Unfortunately, the locations and availability were difficult at times.

National Louis has an excellent Counseling program! The teachers are extremely supportive and provide an excellent environment for learning! The program is designed to allow practice with my peers, which helps to feel comfortable in the setting. I would definitely recommend the program to anyone looking to enter the counseling field.

I have only taken one class so far, but am happy with the other support I have received.

Excellent school for working students and students looking for a personal touch from highly qualified professionals in the field. The lack of benefits that a larger university are the drawbacks. No student health insurance, no housing.
